Looking for a Grey Tabby Cat for adoption in Tomball, TX? Max would love to be considered for the position of your cherished family companion.

Meet Max – Pre-Loved Grey Tabby Cat For Adoption by Owner in Tomball TX

If curiosity really does have nine lives, Max is determined to use every single one of them — preferably from the highest point in your house. He’s the kind of cat who believes gravity is more of a suggestion than a rule, who surveys his kingdom from door tops and shelves with the quiet confidence of someone who absolutely meant to get up there.

And when he’s not plotting his next ascent, he’s pressed against a window, teeth chattering in delight as birds, lizards, and frogs perform for his personal viewing pleasure. Max doesn’t just watch the world go by — he narrates it, loudly, with enthusiasm.

Max is six years old, silver-striped, gloriously soft, and full of personality. He’s goofy in that endearing, head-tilting way that makes you laugh without even realizing it. He’s clever enough to open closed doors (privacy is optional in Max’s world), curious enough to explore every corner of a home, and sweet enough to curl up at night and quietly remind you that you are, in fact, his favorite pillow.

He’s a blanket burrower, a professional napper, and a devoted nighttime cuddle companion — especially if you happen to be someone who appreciates a warm, purring presence tucked in beside you.

Max has been deeply loved, and that’s clear in everything about him. This is not a cat who’s been “given up.” This is a cat whose humans are making a heartbreaking decision rooted entirely in love. After welcoming a very energetic dog into their home, Max’s once-peaceful world became overwhelming.

Despite careful introductions and lots of effort, the constant presence of a dog has simply been too stressful for him. His response hasn’t been anger or aggression — it’s been anxiety. And while his vet has confirmed he’s perfectly healthy, Max has been quietly telling his people that he needs a calmer, dog-free environment to truly thrive again.

In a home without dogs, Max shines. He gets along well with other cats, enjoys his independence balanced with affection, and settles beautifully into a predictable, cozy routine. He’s not demanding or needy — just a sensitive soul who wants to feel safe. Give him windows to watch, blankets to burrow under, a little catnip now and then, and someone who understands that love sometimes looks like patience, and Max will give you his whole heart in return.

Ask anyone who’s lived with him, and they’ll tell you: life with Max is never boring. He’s the cat who sneaks into closed rooms, perches impossibly high, and keeps you laughing with his antics — like the time he quietly opened a guest room door in the middle of the night and startled visitors by calmly sitting on top of it, as if to say, “Oh, were you sleeping?” He’s entertaining, affectionate, and endlessly charming in ways that feel both ridiculous and deeply comforting.

Max is looking for a home where he can finally exhale. A peaceful place. A soft bed. A human (or two) who will smile when he cackles at birds and laugh when he outsmarts the furniture. If you’ve ever wanted a cat who feels like a companion, a character, and a cozy presence all wrapped into one handsome grey tabby, Max just might be the one.

If your heart is tugging just a little right now, that’s no accident. Max is very good at that. He’s ready to meet the person who will give him the calm, loving forever home he deserves — and he can’t wait to curl up beside you and prove that sometimes, the best love stories begin with a whiskered face and a soft purr. Adopt Max today!

Amazing Things About Max:

We love how goofy Max can be. He is always trying to get up as high as possible (even on top of the doors sometimes!). We love his curiosity and ingenuity (he figured out very quickly how to open the closed doors throughout our home!). My wife loves when he cuddles with her at night. We love watching him look out the window and cackle at all of the creatures outdoors.

Max’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished cat, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do.

They are hoping to find the right home where this deserving cat will be loved unconditionally and kept safe, happy, healthy and well-cared-for.

All About Max – Grey Tabby Cat For Adoption in Tomball TX

Name of Pet: Max
Location: Tomball, TX, 77377
Type of Pet: cat
Breed of Pet: Grey Tabby Cat (DSH)
Sex of Pet: Male
Age of Pet: 6
Spayed/Neutered?: Yes
Health Problems: No
Behavior Issues: Yes Since we adopted our dog Amelia, Max has been acting out due to stress in what we believe to be defiance. Maybe not a typical “behavior problem”, but Max has gone to the bathroom outside of his litter box multiple times. We clean the boxes regularly and even tried moving them around the house to different locations. He has been to the vet recently (within the last 6 months) and they did not find anything of concern health-wise. I really believe that Max will be better in a home free of dogs, as we did not have this issue prior to adopting our dog. Other than that, Max is a friendly cat with no aggressive or violent behavior problems.
Up To Date on Vaccinations: Yes
Gets along with cats: Yes
Gets along with dogs: No
Good with Children?: Unknown
House Broken or Litter Trained?: Yes
Crate Trained?:
Accessories Included: Max is pretty easy to care for in terms of supplies and accessories. Of course, we can supply all of his current toys (although he only plays with them in small bursts and only when he wants to play!). We would recommend the new owner provide a completely new litter box and feeding station. We’d be happy to share the exact details of the wet and dry food he eats, as well as the brand(s) of treats he enjoys periodically. If there is anything else we can do to help, please let us know

Max’s Personality

Max is very goofy and lovable. At night, he likes to sleep on the bed with us and loves to be pet. He is pretty lazy (what cat isn’t??) and likes to burrow under blankets for a good nap. He is an indoor cat, but he likes to look out the window at lizards, birds, frogs, etc. He plays well with our other cat, Chloe (4 years old, Calico, female) but unfortunately is very frightened of our dog Amelia (2 years old, German Shorthaired Pointer, female) although Amelia has never attempted to harm him in any way. It would be best for Max to find a home with no dogs to alleviate that stress

Max’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Max is a HUGE fan of anything with catnip. He also likes any toy that moves on its own (like a battery-operated fish or bug). He is not very food-driven, but will snack on treats occasionally (Blue Wilderness Bursts, Seafood Flavor or Temptations). He also gets 1/2 a can of Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers each night, although he mainly just likes the gravy! Max loves to take naps and bird watch, especially with the windows cracked to let some fresh air in. He also likes to explore and climb throughout the house.

Cute Max Story:

One day, when my wife and I were living in Baton Rouge, my parents traveled out to visit us at our new apartment. My parents were staying in the guest room and had closed the door at night to go to bed. The next morning, they were telling us about how they woke up in the middle of the night and the door had mysteriously been opened. They looked around and saw Max, sitting atop the guest room door (that he had opened!). Max will always keep you on your toes and is very entertaining!

Why is Max Being Rehomed?

As mentioned, Max has had some issues getting along with our dog Amelia. She loves to play and has a ton of energy, which Max gets easily overwhelmed by. Even after attempting to slowly introduce them, he will still hiss and growl at her and basically will only go into the parts of the house which are off limits to Amelia. Max is very stressed and has been acting out in a defiant manner, causing some damage to the home. With Amelia living under the same roof, we feel it would be best to get Max to a new, loving family (without dogs) that will allow him to live out the rest of his life, stress-free.

Max’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

As mentioned, Max has severe stress from living in the same house as our dog, Amelia. We have tried various things to get them acclimated, but even after 1.5 years, he has issues getting along and we don’t want him to be stressed out 24/7. So finding an adoptive family which has no dogs and has no intentions of adopting a dog in the future is important to us.

Ultimately, Max just needs to be loved. An adoptive family with a good history of cat ownership would be ideal as they will know better the ins and outs of caring for a cat as special as Max. He gets along with our other cat, Chloe, however, we are unsure how he would respond to another new cat. There is no reason to think he wouldn’t do well with another cat, but given his response to Amelia, we are just a bit unsure.

FAQ – Adopting Max (Grey Tabby Cat in Tomball, TX)

Below is a thorough FAQ to help you decide whether Max is the right fit for your home. If you have a question that isn’t answered here,
please email petrehomingnetwork@gmail.com (DMs/comments are not monitored).

Quick Basics

Who is Max?

Max is a 6-year-old male Grey Tabby (DSH) cat in Tomball, TX. He’s a funny, affectionate indoor cat with a big personality—equal parts cuddle buddy and curious little explorer.

Where is Max located?

Max is located in Tomball, Texas (77377). Adoption is typically considered within a reasonable driving distance so a meet-and-greet can happen in person.

How big is Max?

Max weighs about 15 pounds. He’s a solid, handsome boy—more “plush teddy bear” than “tiny teacup.”

Is Max neutered and vaccinated?

Yes. Max is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations per the owner’s information.

Does Max have any known health problems?

No known health problems have been reported. He was seen by a veterinarian within the last 6 months, and nothing concerning was found.

Why is Max being rehomed?

This is a love-and-circumstance situation. Since the family adopted a dog, Max has become chronically stressed in the home environment.
The ongoing stress has contributed to litter box accidents. The family believes Max will do best in a dog-free home so he can relax and return to his happy, confident self.

Is there an adoption fee?

Yes. There is a $40 adoption/rehoming fee.

What is included with the adoption?

The owner will provide supplies and veterinary records. They can also share details about Max’s food, treats, and routine.
Toys may be included as well (depending on what the owner currently has and what makes sense for Max’s transition).

Personality, Temperament & Daily Life

What is Max’s personality like?

Max is goofy, lovable, and clever. He enjoys affection, especially at night, and has a curious “how does this work?” energy during the day.
He can be delightfully entertaining—he’s the kind of cat who will figure things out (including doors).

Is Max affectionate?

Yes. Max enjoys sleeping on the bed with his people and likes being petted. He’s known to cuddle at night and can be very sweet and comforting.

Is Max playful?

Max plays in short bursts—cat-style. He likes catnip and toys that move on their own (battery-operated fish/bug-type toys).
He’s not a constant “all-day play” cat, but he has fun when the mood strikes.

What are Max’s favorite activities?

Bird-watching, creature-watching (lizards, frogs, etc.), exploring, climbing, napping, and cozy blanket burrowing.
He also enjoys fresh air through a cracked window (safely secured, of course).

Does Max like being held?

Many cats have preferences that vary by person and mood. Max is affectionate and enjoys petting and closeness, especially at night.
A meet-and-greet will help you see what type of contact he prefers with you.

Is Max noisy or vocal?

He’s not described as excessively vocal, but he does “cackle” (chitter) at outdoor wildlife while window-watching—one of his charming quirks.

Is Max independent?

Yes—he enjoys his naps and solo time, but he also enjoys affection and companionship. He tends to balance “cat independence” with “sweet family member.”

Does Max have any funny quirks?

Max is a climber who loves getting as high as possible—even on top of doors. He’s also clever enough to open doors.
He’s a curious, ingenious cat who keeps life interesting.

What is Max’s ideal daily routine?

A calm home rhythm tends to work best: consistent feeding schedule, clean litter boxes, quiet nap spots, window perches, and a little interactive play.
He also enjoys nighttime companionship (sleeping on the bed).

Is Max a lap cat?

He’s more described as a cuddle-at-night and affectionate companion than a constant lap cat.
Cats often show lap behavior differently in new homes—some become more “lap-inclined” once fully settled and relaxed.

How does Max handle being alone during the day?

Like many adult cats, Max can likely do well with a standard workday as long as he has enrichment: comfy nap spaces, window access, scratchers, and toys.
A calm environment is especially important for him.

Home Environment & Compatibility

What kind of home is Max looking for?

A loving, stable home with no dogs—now or in the future. Max has been stressed living with a dog,
and a dog-free environment is considered essential for his comfort and success.

Does Max need to be an only cat?

Not necessarily. Max currently gets along with another cat in the home (Chloe), which is a great sign.
Introductions matter, and a slow, structured intro is recommended with any new cat.

How does Max do with other cats?

He gets along with cats in his current home. With any new cat, the standard slow introduction process is important.
The owner notes there is no reason to think he wouldn’t do well with another cat, but cautious introductions are wise.

How does Max do with dogs?

Max does not do well with dogs. He is frightened and stressed in a dog household, even when the dog is not aggressive.
Max’s best home is dog-free.

Is Max good with children?

It’s unknown. If you have children, a calm, respectful household (gentle handling, no chasing, no loud surprise grabbing)
would be important. A meet-and-greet can help assess comfort level.

Is Max okay in apartments?

Potentially yes, as long as the home is calm, dog-free, and enriched (window perch, vertical climbing options, scratching posts, and routine).
Because Max enjoys climbing, providing safe vertical spaces is especially helpful.

Would Max do well with a busy household?

Max is sensitive to stress. A calmer environment is recommended. “Busy” can work if it’s predictable, gentle, and not chaotic—especially no dogs.

Would Max do well with frequent visitors?

Many cats can adapt with time. If your home is often active, Max should have a quiet “safe room” area to retreat to.
His comfort will depend on noise levels, predictability, and whether he can control his space.

Is Max an indoor-only cat?

Yes. Max is an indoor cat, and the goal is to keep him safe indoors.
Indoor enrichment (window perches, play, and climbing opportunities) is ideal.

Can Max go on a leash or outside in a catio?

Not specifically stated. Many indoor cats can enjoy a properly secured catio or harness training, but it should be introduced slowly and safely.
If you pursue this, it should be optional and stress-free for him—not forced.

What if I might get a dog someday?

Max’s ideal home is one with no dogs now and no plans for dogs in the future.
If a dog is a future goal, Max likely isn’t the best match.

Litter Box & Behavioral Questions (Important)

Is Max litter trained?

Yes. Max is litter trained. The recent litter box issues appear related to stress from living with a dog, not a lack of training.

What exactly is the litter box issue?

Since the dog was adopted, Max has urinated/defecated outside the litter box multiple times. The family cleans boxes regularly and has tried
changing litter box locations. A vet exam within the past 6 months did not reveal a medical cause.

Is Max doing this out of “defiance”?

“Defiance” is a common way people describe stress behaviors, but cats typically eliminate outside the box due to stress, territory insecurity,
environmental changes, or medical issues. In Max’s case, the dog-related stress is the suspected driver (with medical concerns ruled out recently).

Will the litter box issue stop in a dog-free home?

While no one can guarantee behavior 100%, the owner believes the issue is directly tied to dog-related stress, because it did not occur prior to the dog.
A calm, dog-free environment plus good litter box setup gives Max the best chance to return to consistent litter habits.

What can I do to set Max up for litter box success?

A strong plan often helps sensitive cats:

  • Provide at least 2 litter boxes (more if you have another cat) in quiet, accessible locations.
  • Keep boxes away from noisy appliances and high-traffic areas.
  • Scoop daily and fully refresh regularly.
  • Use an unscented, cat-friendly litter (and avoid sudden changes).
  • Offer a calm “settling-in” room for the first 1–2 weeks.
  • Use routine and avoid major household changes early on.
Has Max been evaluated by a veterinarian for the litter box issue?

Yes. He was seen by a vet within the last 6 months and nothing concerning was found.
Any adopter should still plan for a routine baseline exam after adoption to establish care with their own vet.

Does Max have any aggression issues?

No aggression has been reported. The owner specifically notes Max is friendly and has no aggressive or violent behavior problems.
His stress response to the dog includes hissing/growling (typical fear signaling), not aggression toward people.

Does Max spray (mark) or is it inappropriate elimination?

The owner reports “going to the bathroom outside the litter box.” If you want specifics (spray vs squat),
we can ask the owner so you know exactly what to expect and how best to set him up.

Is Max destructive?

The owner mentions “some damage to the home,” likely related to stress behaviors and/or litter box accidents.
In a calmer, dog-free home with enrichment (scratchers, climbing, play), Max may settle significantly.

Does Max scratch furniture?

Not specifically reported, but most cats scratch. Providing sturdy scratching posts/pads (vertical and horizontal) and placing them strategically
helps protect furniture and gives Max appropriate outlets.

Does Max climb where he shouldn’t?

Max is an enthusiastic climber who aims for “the highest possible point,” including doors. This is part of his charm.
The best solution is to provide safe vertical spaces (cat trees, wall shelves) and ensure breakables are secured.

How do I keep Max safe if he climbs?

Cat-proofing is key:

  • Secure tall furniture (anti-tip straps if needed).
  • Remove or anchor wobbly shelves.
  • Keep fragile items away from edges.
  • Provide approved “yes” spaces (cat trees/shelves) so he doesn’t need risky “no” spaces.
What if Max hides at first?

Many cats do. A quiet “safe room” with litter, food, water, hiding spots, and a comfy bed helps.
Let Max come to you at his pace—gentle, consistent routines build trust quickly.

Does Max have separation anxiety?

Not reported. He enjoys companionship, but there’s no indication of severe distress when left alone.
Most cats do well with a stable routine and enrichment.

Food, Treats & Feeding

What does Max eat?

Max eats wet and dry food; the owner can provide the exact brands/details. He receives 1/2 can of Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers each night (he loves the gravy!).

Is Max food-motivated?

Not especially. He enjoys treats occasionally, but he’s not described as a cat who constantly begs or obsesses over food.

What treats does Max like?

He enjoys Blue Wilderness Bursts (Seafood Flavor) and Temptations periodically.

Will Max need a diet change?

Sudden diet changes can upset a cat’s stomach or increase stress. If you want to change foods, it’s best to transition slowly over 7–10 days.
The owner can share what he currently eats so you can keep things consistent during the adjustment period.

Does Max have any known food allergies?

None reported.

How often should Max be fed?

Many adult cats do well with scheduled meals (morning/evening) or a measured free-feeding plan.
Because routine can help reduce stress, a consistent schedule is recommended.

What about water—fountain or bowl?

Either can work. Many cats drink more with a fountain. Offering multiple water stations in quiet locations can also help.

Grooming & Care

Does Max require grooming?

As a short-haired cat, Max is generally low-maintenance. Regular brushing can reduce shedding and hairballs and can be a nice bonding routine.

Does Max get hairballs?

Not specifically reported. Most cats can have occasional hairballs. Brushing and appropriate diet can help reduce them.

Does Max tolerate nail trims?

Not reported. Many cats can learn to accept nail trims with gentle conditioning and treats.
If you’re unsure, your vet or groomer can assist.

Does Max use a scratching post?

Not specifically stated. Offering multiple scratching options (tall sisal post + cardboard scratchers) is recommended for any cat.

Is Max okay with carriers and car rides?

Not specified. Many cats dislike travel initially. Using a sturdy carrier, a soft blanket, and (if needed) vet-approved calming options can help.
A carrier left out as a “safe cave” at home can also reduce stress.

Health, Vetting & Records

Will I receive Max’s vet records?

Yes, veterinary records will be included per the listing.

Is Max microchipped?

Not stated. If microchipped, transfer details can be handled during adoption.
If not microchipped, we strongly recommend microchipping after adoption for safety.

What vaccinations does Max have?

He is reported to be up-to-date on vaccinations. Specific vaccines and dates can be confirmed from records.

Does Max have fleas or parasites?

None reported. Most indoor cats have minimal risk, but routine prevention and vet guidance are recommended.

When should I take Max to my vet after adoption?

Many adopters schedule a baseline visit within the first 2–4 weeks (sooner if any concerns arise).
This helps establish care, confirm records, and discuss any adjustment or litter box support plans.

Is Max on any medications?

None reported.

Can stress cause health issues in cats?

Yes. Prolonged stress can contribute to behavior changes and sometimes urinary issues. In Max’s case, a recent vet visit found no health concerns,
and removing the primary stressor (a dog in the home) is expected to help him.

Introducing Max to Your Home

How should Max be introduced to a new home?

A slow, gentle transition is best:

  1. Start with a quiet safe room (litter, food, water, hiding spot, bed, scratcher).
  2. Give him a few days to decompress (some cats need longer).
  3. Expand territory gradually as confidence grows.
  4. Keep routine predictable and calm.
How long will Max take to adjust?

Adjustment varies. Some cats settle within days; others take a few weeks. Sensitive cats often do best with a slow approach.
Most importantly, Max is expected to do best once the environment is calm and dog-free.

Should I buy a new litter box and feeding station?

The owner recommends providing a completely new litter box and feeding station for the new home.
This can reduce stress and help establish “this is my safe, clean setup” from day one.

What kind of litter box setup is recommended?

Many cats prefer large, open boxes (unless they kick litter a lot). Consider:

  • At least two boxes for one cat (especially during transition).
  • Low-traffic, easy-access locations.
  • Unscented litter to start.
What enrichment does Max need?

Max enjoys climbing and watching the world. Ideal enrichment includes:

  • A cat tree or shelves for vertical climbing.
  • Window perch(s) for bird-watching.
  • Catnip toys and a few moving toys.
  • Short, fun play sessions.
Is Max okay with stairs?

Not mentioned as a problem. Most adult cats manage stairs fine, and Max is an enthusiastic climber.

Will Max try to dart out the door?

Not reported, but many curious cats can. Using double-door safety habits and keeping windows/doors secure is recommended.
Because he likes fresh air, ensure screens are sturdy and secure.

Can Max be adopted into a home with screened windows?

Yes—just ensure screens are secure and cannot be pushed out. Window perches are a great idea for him.

Adoption Process & Screening

How do I apply to adopt Max?

Please use the application/meeting request form on Max’s adoption story page. Once received and reviewed, a member of the team will ask the owner to reach out to you to arrange a meeting.
(Link placeholder: Max’s Adoption Story & Application)

Are DMs or comments monitored?

No. For questions, please email petrehomingnetwork@gmail.com.

What happens after I apply?

Applications are reviewed for fit and safety. If it looks like a good match, you’ll be connected with Max’s owner to schedule a meet-and-greet.
The goal is to ensure Max’s transition is calm, safe, and set up for long-term success.

Can I meet Max before deciding?

Yes. Meet-and-greets are encouraged so everyone can feel confident about the match.

Where will the meeting take place?

Typically in or near the owner’s location in a way that is safe and comfortable for Max. Specific arrangements are coordinated after application review.

Do you do home checks?

This can vary by situation. Some adoptions involve additional verification steps to ensure the home is a safe fit. If needed, the team will explain what applies to this adoption.

What makes an application stand out?

Clear evidence you can meet Max’s needs:

  • A dog-free home now and in the future.
  • Understanding of cat introductions and stress reduction.
  • A plan for litter box setup, enrichment, and routine.
  • Willingness to provide vet care and a stable environment.
Can Max be adopted outside Tomball / Houston-area?

Possibly, if travel for a meet-and-greet and safe transfer is reasonable. The priority is a safe, stable, dog-free home and a smooth transition.

Do you ship or transport Max?

Generally, no. In-person meet-and-greets are preferred for safety and fit. If you are farther away, you may be asked to travel to meet Max.

Is there a trial period?

Trial periods vary. If you are interested in a trial/transition plan, ask during the adoption conversation and we’ll discuss what’s feasible for Max’s situation.

Is the adoption fee refundable?

Policies can vary. If you have concerns, ask before finalizing adoption so everything is clear.

Will I sign an adoption agreement?

Typically yes. Agreements help ensure responsible care, safe placement, and clarity for both adopter and owner.

Can the owner choose the adopter?

Yes. The owner is ultimately looking for the best possible match for Max, with guidance and support from the rehoming team.

What if I rent my home?

You may be asked to confirm that cats are allowed under your lease. This helps avoid a future rehoming situation.

What if I have allergies?

If allergies are a concern, spend time with Max before committing and consult your doctor about management options.
It’s best to be realistic to avoid a painful rehome later.

What if I have never owned a cat?

A first-time cat home can work if you’re committed to learning, keeping a calm routine, and maintaining a good litter box setup.
Prior cat experience is preferred, but responsible first-timers are welcome to apply.

Safety, Scams & Responsible Adoption

How do I know this is legitimate?

Legitimate rehoming will include a meet-and-greet, direct communication with the owner, and transparency about Max’s history, needs, and records.
Never send money to strangers without verification and never accept unusual payment requests.

What should I avoid during the adoption process?
  • Avoid “too good to be true” requests (wire transfers, gift cards, crypto, etc.).
  • Avoid anyone unwilling to allow a meet-and-greet.
  • Avoid rushed handoffs with no records or no discussion of fit.
What’s the best way to ask questions?

Email is best: petrehomingnetwork@gmail.com.
Please include “Max – Tomball, TX” in your subject line.

What should I prepare before bringing Max home?

Suggested essentials:

  • Carrier (secure, comfortable)
  • 2 litter boxes + scoop + unscented litter
  • Food + treats (start with what he’s used to)
  • Water bowls/fountain
  • Scratching post(s)
  • Cat tree or shelves for climbing
  • Window perch
  • Catnip toys + a moving toy
  • Cozy bed/blankets + hiding spot
What if things feel rocky in the first week?

That can be normal. Transition stress can look like hiding, reduced appetite, extra vocalizing, or temporary litter box uncertainty.
A calm environment, a safe room, routine, and patience often solve the “new home wobble.”
If there are concerns, consult your vet and communicate early so Max gets support quickly.

What if Max has an accident in my home?

Don’t panic—this is exactly why a calm, dog-free home and a proper litter setup matter.
Rule out stress triggers, ensure boxes are clean/accessible, and consider adding an extra box.
If accidents continue, consult your vet to re-check health and discuss stress management strategies.

Is Max a good candidate for a calm “best friend” cat?

Yes—especially in a dog-free home. Max is affectionate, funny, and full of character. When his environment feels safe,
he’s expected to be a wonderful companion.
