Meet Leland, Male Grey and White Tuxedo Cat For Adoption in Tampa FL
If you have been looking to adopt a very special cat in Tampa and area, we present Leland. This dapper 5 year old male cat is always well dressed in his cute grey and white tuxedo. (Just needs a bow-tie!).
Leland is such a sweet and engaging companion. He is very dog like in the way he greets you at the door and follows you around the house. His needs are simple: a sunny window ledge from which he can watch the creatures outside, and his beloved cardboard boxes, in which he loves to play and snuggle up.
Leland has come all the way from California with his owners, who are so sad to have to make this difficult decision. They are expecting a baby, and are also finding it very difficult to give Leland the time, care and attention that he needs and deserves.
This male Tuxedo cat has so much love to offer a special cat lover. He is so well behaved and affectionate that he will surely add plenty of love and companionship to his new home.
If you have room in your heart and home for this delightful little cat, please offer Leland his forever home today.
There is a $30 adoption/rehoming fee. Supplies and veterinary records will be included.

Leland is calm.
Leland is loving.
We love how he can sit in the window all day and stare at the lizards crawling in the plants.
He makes us laugh how much he loves boxes. He loves to play in them, sleep in them, sit in them, hide toys in them, you name it.
We love how he greets us at the door everyday when we come home from work.
Leland‘s Current Home Environment
My husband and I live in a large one bedroom apartment. Leland has free roam of the house while we are home and closed off from the bedroom and bathroom while we are gone. He sleeps at the foot of our bed every night and sits in his window perch for most of the day staring at anything and everything.
Leland‘s Current Family:
Since day one with Leland at 4 months old, it has just been my me and my husband. He is friendly with all family and friends that come over and loves to be the center of attention. However, he gets a little nervous around small children (toddlers and school age).
My husband and I are now expecting our first child this summer.
Leland‘s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Leland‘s favorite toys are the tiny mice stuffed with catnip. He can play with those everyday and never gets tired. He loves to chase laser lights around the house. His favorite is cardboard boxes. Anytime we get a package in the mail we give the box to Leland and swap out the old box so he doesn’t get bored. He loves to play in them, hide toys in them, sit in them, and sleep in or on them.
Leland eats wet food twice a day (once in the morning and once at night). He eats both, poultry and fish wet food. We leave dry food out all day for him.
Cute Leland Story:
My husband and I are from California and moved to Florida about 2 1/2 years ago. To make the move, we drove across the country, (taking the long way) making it a two week trip. We camped in our tent along the way. Leland was such a trooper and adjusted well to life on the road.
Why is Leland Being Rehomed?
As much as it pains us to say goodbye to our sweet Leland, my husband and I are expecting our first child this summer. We feel that it would be best for Leland to have a family that can make him their first priority as he has been in our lives the last five years. We know our new baby will now take all of our time and don’t want Leland to take a back seat.
Leland‘s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
We would prefer Leland goes to a family with no other cats or dogs as he is used to being the only animal in the house. We also think he would do best without young kids (younger than 10 as he gets rather nervous around their high energy.
