Meet Molly, Pit bull mix Dog For Adoption in Cromwell Connecticut
Molly is a wonder! A beautiful teddy bear face and loves to cuddle. This 2 year old female Pitbull Terrier to adopt in Cromwell Connecticut needs your help in finding a good home. Her “melt-your-heart” face has the personality to match. Sweet and snuggly, friendly and goofy. She loves attention, going for walks, treats and toys.
She has only one problem, that she is best in a home without other dogs. Molly plays well with bigger dogs and has a great temperament around people, but she was a stray that was rescued only a few months ago, and has a tendency to play a little rough with smaller dogs. She does not even realize her own strength and generally her rough play is without serious aggression. She is not good around other female dogs either.
More the problem, in the home where she lives now, she’s begun to act a little aggressive with the owner’s other dog, but not around neighbor dogs. The concern is that Molly may be prone to “alpha behavior” out of jealousy. Since she was a stray at one point in her life, she’s likely had to spend time around other dogs who were more aggressive for food or attention. She is wonderful around people, even strangers, though she may be a little big and clumsy for a home with small children. A 60 lb dog is still a big dog and should be around kids old enough to respect that size.
We feel that placing Molly into a home where she can be the only pet will be the only change that she needs. This is a great dog in need of the right situation. The temporary owner has seen the joy and laughter that Molly brings to the home, but just can’t commit to putting her other smaller dog into a situation that gets tougher each day.
Molly needs your help. If you or somebody that you know is used to owning a large dog and willing to take on Molly, it could be the start of a wonderful friendship. There is no doubt that Molly is an exceptional dog with a lot of love in her heart, she just needs to know that she’s the only dog in yours.
There is a $100 adoption/rehoming fee. Supplies and veterinary records will be included.

Molly’s Personality
Sweet and snuggly. She loves attention, going for walks, treats and toys. She’s liked every human she’s met, but does not mesh well with female dogs. Plays very well with a friend’s boxer/bulldog mix (male) but plays too rough for small dogs.
I’ve only had her two months so I don’t know how she does with children, cats, etc, but she’s been temperament tested by a professional and passed all their tests.
Why is Molly Being Rehomed?
I found a stray female pit bull wandering about three months ago and long story short I adopted her when it seemed like she got along with my other dog (had them meet, everything went fine). Recently she’s been strange towards him and today it came to a head when I had to pull them apart.
For some reason she just doesn’t like him. She gets along with other male dogs but not him for whatever reason. I can’t bring her to the shelter in town because she’ll sit there forever and they tend to euthanize pits who don’t get adopted.
Any help you can offer or any contacts at other rescues if you can’t help would be greatly appreciated. She’s such a sweet girl she just doesn’t mesh with my little guy and I have to think of him too.
