Nala & Simba are a male and female pair of German Shepherd Labrador Retriever Mix Dogs for private adoption to a very loving home in or near Raleigh NC. These very special dogs are 5 years old (March 2013) and weigh about 55 pounds.

Both dogs are fixed, up to date on shots and very healthy. They are house trained and well behaved. Simba and Nala love people and are very good with children. They are calm, playful, affectionate and devoted – the perfect family dogs.

Nala and Simba’s owners have raised them with love since they were puppies. They have see both dogs mature into confident, wonderful dogs that would be a good addition to almost any home.

Unfortunately, with raising small children and working long hours, it is difficult to find the time to give Simba and Nala the exercise and care they deserve. The family will soon be moving to a different home, and there is not enough space either indoors – or outdoors for the dogs to be happy and healthy.

The family is heartbroken to have to rehome Nala and Simba, but are hopeful that the dogs can be placed in the ideal home – with a family that has lots of time for them, and who owns their own home with a large, securely fenced yard.

Currently we are in a townhome (was previously in a home with an adequate yard for dogs) and will be moving again soon to a home with an inadequate yard for pets 🙁

We are a family of 4, with two toddlers (ages 3&4). We are a laid back family who goes with the flow. We like to do things as a family and include the dogs as much as possible!

Since being rescued from the shelter nearly 5 year ago, Nala has really grown into herself. She is a sweet confident girl who FINALLY grew out of her car-sickness! Simba has truly become a great pet with lots of love to give! 5 years ago he was very nervous around people, but now he is a bid ole’ lap dog who wants love and affection.

Why are Nala & Simba Being Rehomed?

We are sad to rehome our pets because of moving/ work related. We used to have a great backyard, but unfortunately we no longer live there and we aren’t able to have a yard/space that any pet would deserve

Nala & Simba’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

We’d love for a family to fall in love with our dogs the way we do! I know that any kids would love to have them to play with and to grow up around. Also, They would probably like to be the only pet in the home. And ideally a fenced in yard for them to play/run/roam.
