Zeus is your canine soul-mate. This incredibly handsome young dog has the most loving and devoted personality. He will sit beside you (or, his preference is on your lap) and loves to lie down with you and cuddle. He’s like a large baby with fur and sharp teeth!
Zeus would be the perfect dog for his family, but unfortunately he has developed anxiety, which seems to be triggered by other large male dogs. He also seems to be anxious around babies when they cry. With other dogs in the home and a new baby in the family, his owners have had to make the heartbreaking decision to find Zeus his ultimate forever family.
Zeus is looking for a home in the country where he can be a cherished only dog. He would love some older kids (who are passed the tantrums and screaming faze) to play fetch and keep-away with, and would be in Seventh Heaven on an acreage where there is plenty of room to romp and play. Zeus’s Personality
Zeus is extremely lovable, affectionate, and loves to play. He is devoted and loyal. Zeus is a young dog and likes to stay active. He needs owners who can make sure he receives daily exercise and playtime. He is definitely a protector of the home. Zeus is extremely handsome, but still modest. 🙂
Zeus is currently in a loving family. Zeus gets very excited (happy) when people come over. He likes to be active, loves to chase a ball, and play catch and tug of war. Zeus will need space to run. Zeus is very affectionate, smart, and extremely loyal to his two parents. Zeus is house trained, is very pampered and lives in the house as one of the family.
Zeus is microchipped and registered with the AKC. He is also neutered and is up to date on all his shots.
Zeus has also gone through extensive training. At 7 months old he received a Certificate of Achievement from Happy Wags LLC for successfully completing the Grade School Private Training Package. After that, he has had a personal certified trainer coming twice per week.
To be considered as his new home, we request that you have experience with Rottweilers. He will also need a home with no male dogs and no small children.

Zeus’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Zeus loves running and catching tennis balls. Loves to play tug of war. Zeus enjoys running free on the property (must be enclosed or have many acres). Zeus loves rawhide bones and any toy he can chew on. We have licking pads and balls that we put peanut butter on – he enjoys licking the peanut off clean! Zeus loves laying on the bed and cuddling.
Cute Zeus Story:
Zeus was playing tug of war with our little Bichon Poo – Zeus knew he had to play gently and not pull too hard. They were playing for quite a few minutes! It was adorable! (We might have this on video).
Why is Zeus Being Rehomed?
My son adopted 2 dogs from an animal rescue. One female one male. The male (Max) is part Rottie. When they were all little they played beautifully together. My son’s dog likes to bark a lot – that is how he communicates.
When he sees me, he barks at me trying to get me to play.
Once Zeus matured, he went after Max when he was barking at me (protective instinct?). Zeus was on a leash – there was bit of scuffle – but no one was hurt.
The most recent episode was with our Bichon Poo – Bruce. We had family over – it was very hectic. We were watching my son’s dogs (they remained on the second floor) but Zeus heard them. He dropped his bone and was on alert looking for Max.
Bruce took advantage of the situation and took Zeus’s bone. When Zeus went to get it back, Bruce growled. The next minute there was a brawl – and Bruce lost.
He had a small puncture wound on his back. We took him to the ER – he needed surgery to drain the abscess that formed along with the removal of much dead tissue from the struggle.
Thankfully Bruce is fine now. They all still get along (we also have a female rescue Cairn terrier mix who Zeus loves.
It is just when there is too much going on Zeus gets anxious. Zeus recently went for his annual shots, and we told the vet what happened.
She took Zeus into another room and came back and told us that he is not vicious. He has anxiety.
All Zeus wanted was to come back to us. Lastly, Zeus is very attached to me (my little mama’s boy). My son recently had a baby (4 months old) – Zeus is curious but has been very good with the baby.
That being said when the baby cries we see he becomes anxious. We feel it would be best for Zeus to go to a home without babies or small children so that his anxiety won’t be triggered.
