Looking for a Rottweiler dog for adoption in Toledo, Ohio? Meet Bailey, a 3-year-old Rottweiler with a heart as big as her smile. This affectionate, loyal girl is equal parts cuddlebug and protector — playful with her favorite people, gentle with kids, and happiest when she’s part of family life.

Bailey is seeking a loving forever home where she can enjoy plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship. If you’re hoping to adopt a Rottweiler who embodies both strength and sweetness, Bailey may be the perfect match for you.

💖 Bailey’s Story: The Cuddlebug Bodyguard with a Heart of Gold

If love had a body, it would look a lot like Bailey — all 100 pounds of her. A living, breathing teddy bear in Rottweiler form, she’s the kind of dog who’ll rest her massive head on your knee and look up at you like you hung the moon. She doesn’t just wag her tail; she wags her whole soul.

Bailey’s days are a mix of comedy, devotion, and the occasional game of “Let’s see who can outsmart whom.” (Spoiler: it’s usually Bailey.) She has a PhD in ball-chasing, is fluent in snuggling, and has a sixth sense for when you need a nudge of comfort. Her idea of paradise? A good run, a favorite toy, and ending the day curled up with her humans, snoring like a small freight train of affection.

She’s wonderfully protective — not in a barky, brash way, but in that gentle “I’ve got you” energy. Once, when her family’s baby lay on the play mat, Bailey stationed herself right beside them, a furry sentinel with love as her mission. She takes her job as the family heartguard seriously.

Like many big-hearted souls, Bailey has her quirks. She’s not a fan of vet visits (honestly, who is?) and would prefer her toys to remain her toys. She’ll need someone with confidence and patience — maybe a family with older kids and no cats — who understands that big dogs sometimes have big feelings. With guidance and consistency, Bailey’s loyalty and eagerness to please will shine through tenfold.

Her current family loves her deeply but is facing a major life shift. With elderly relatives moving in, space and safety have become concerns, and they know Bailey deserves the kind of time, attention, and joyful play she thrives on. Rehoming her isn’t an act of letting go — it’s an act of love, choosing what’s best for Bailey’s bright, beautiful life ahead.

Bailey is ready to meet her new family — one that appreciates a little drool, a lot of love, and the unshakable devotion of a Rottweiler who believes her people are the best thing since yogurt (her favorite treat).

So, if you’ve got room in your home — and your heart — for a dog who will love you like it’s her life’s calling, Bailey is waiting with a wag and a hopeful heart.

👉 Adopt Bailey — and get ready to fall in love, big-dog style.

Bailey’s Personality

Bailey is one of the sweetest dogs. She loves to play and run. She’s is great with the children when they are playing and very affectionate.

Bailey’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Running and playing catch. She loves running with my kids. wrestling with my husband.
We use Diamond Naturals for her dog food, and she loves yogurt

Cute Bailey Story:

She would lie down with my baby while they lay on their play mat. She would always be close to the baby, protecting them. She also loves sleeping near my boys.

Why is Bailey Being Rehomed?

We are entering a season where having Bailey is not a good fit. My in-laws need more help, and we are considering ways to have them move in with us. Having Bailey wouldn’t be wise. Her size and strength put my mother – in – law in danger of falls.

On top of that, Bailey is not getting the attention she desperately needs. She has nipped a couple of times at the kids when they have tried to get their toys from her that she is chewing on.

Bailey’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I want Bailey to have a loving family. One where she can interact with older children, and who can devote the time she needs. I have four kids under 5 years old, and I can’t devote time to her. We will miss her, but this the best for Bailey and her life. She needs more attention.

Occasional check-ins would be good!
