Iris was bonded with her sister, who we lost. I’m having a very hard time finding a new home that will take cats. I am also considering a move out of state and it just seems like the right decision to who Iris find a new forever home. This was absolutely not my intentions when I got my cats two years ago, unfortunately our situation has changed dramatically.

Iris’s Personality
Iris is a queen kitty. She is very social, loving, and playful and also fairly demanding. She likes her routines and yours too and she will always let you know when your action is needed – “Wake up, feed me, I want to go outside!”
Even if she has food in her bowl I still have to go “talk to her food” in the morning before she’ll eat it. “Oh look! There’s your food!” and then Iris is happy. She is vocal and has what I call a “Marge Simpson” meow. Iris the queen kitty is a family feline and always knows what everyone’s up to!
Iris is an Amazing Companion Because She is:
She’s cuddly, fun to play with, entertaining as she thinks she’s the head of the household. She’s adorable and self sufficient.
Iris’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Iris loves her stringy mouse, she’ll carry it everywhere. She’s indoor/outdoor kitty but always sleeps with a person and snuggles on the couch. She eats dry food and a little wet food a day and loves her “treatsies!”
Iris loved playing with her sister Charlie, and sadly we lost Charlie in the woods while visiting a friend fairly recently.
Iris was very upset, and life is not the same with her. She can be territorial around other cats. She may do well with a younger or passive pet. She’s not really intimidated by dogs either.
Cute Iris Story:
When she got her mousey toy she literally brought it everywhere for months. Every room she went in, there it was.
Iris was a lap cat and when she went from a tiny kitten to cat sized she would get frustrated because she couldn’t fit in laps the way she used to and she’d just roll right off the couch, repeatedly!
