Zeus is a Male American Staffordshire Terrier dog for adoption to a very loving home in or near Escondido, CA. This very special dog is 9 years old and weighs 70 pounds. Zeus is what we call a “ready-to-love” dog. He’s been fixed fully vaccinated, microchipped, house-broken, and leash-trained. He is very well-behaved.

Zeus is a very loving and loveable dog that is good with children and other dog-freindly dogs. He has no experience with cats.
Zeus is very loving and will stare at you with puppy dog eyes. He is in- tune to when you are sad and will lay next to you every time. (He eould be a great Emotional Support Dog!)
Zeus still loves to swim and be outdoors. He is a true Velcro dog! He loves to give kisses.
Zeus’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished dog, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do:
I took him in so Zeus wasn’t send to the pound. Unfortunately my female pit mix has not taken to him. She still causes problems with him after a year and my other male will jump in but heals immediately. My fear is not being around when that happens. He is a good dog and I know he will do well with a family willing to give him the love he deserves!
Zeus’s owners are hoping to find the right home for their cherished dog:
A family or person that can give Zeus 100% of their time unlike me. A fairly active family that enjoys walking and hiking. Preferably someone who is experienced with large dogs. Zeus may do okay with another dog if they are smaller and relaxed.

Zeus’s Personality
Zeus will turn into a Velcro dog once he imprints on you and will follow you around everywhere. He looks tough but he’s a softy. He is very social and loves people, but due to an abuse history, Zeus can be a little nervous around larger, loud men. He has done well off leash with pretty good recall.

Why is Zeus Being Rehomed?

Additional Comments:
I have recently had all my dogs trained by a dog psychology center. The dog psychology center trained the dogs and myself on behavior control. Zeus responded well to the training. I am looking for a good home that will love him and that can continue to allow Zeus to grow and have a happy life.
Zeus is very loyal and will follow you everywhere. He loves human contact and deserves an absolutely amazing home!
