Right now he lives in a small, 2-bedroom apartment with another cat, Sammy. They like to sleep and play together. The apartment has two litter boxes, a play tower, and plenty of cozy spots to curl up. He especially like sitting on the windowsill to watch the birds.
Oliver’s Current Family:
Oliver grew up in Florida with myself and another, older cat who he loved. After 2 years, we moved to Maryland, and then New York. He stayed with my parents for a year, where he enjoyed their cat-loving company, and the company of their 2 other similar-aged cats. He’s moved around a lot, but always been in the company of other cats and other cat lovers. Plus, he is most suited with our family’s calm demeanor.
Oliver’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Oliver loves having a small bowl of wet food every night (I give it to him watered down to ensure he’s always getting enough hydration). He also likes playing catch with a ball or interacting with a piece of string. If you’re up to it, he loves to engage in play.
Cute Oliver Story:
Oliver is great at giving and receiving. There have been many nights when he spoons me in bed and pets my nose while I pet his. He really likes to cuddle up.
Why is Oliver Being Rehomed?
My partner and I have recently moved in together and he is severely allergic. We’ve tried everything to make it better, but it’s impacting his quality of life to live with a cat. Plus, we both have jobs that require constant travel and it’s beginning to become an emotional and costly burden to find care for the cat when we are away.
Oliver’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
I want Oliver to have a home where he can be in the same place with a consistent routine for more than a few weeks at a time. It would be great to have a mellow family who could give him attention and a little treat and be excited to see him every day.
