Addie’s Personality
We adopted Addie about a year ago from a rescue group based in Connecticut that takes dogs saved in Texas. Addie was rescued from a dog hoarding situation and had not been trained or socialized. Over the past year, she has made great progress.
She is still quite timid around people she doesn’t know and anxious but with me and my husband, she is very sweet and loving. As she has become more comfortable with us, she is becoming more and more playful. She is naturally very cuddly once she warms up, and has a lot of love to offer.

Addie is a sploofer, that is she lies on her belly with her 2 back legs splayed out behind her. It’s adorable.
Why is Addie Being Rehomed?
The problem is that we have another dog. The rescue group assured us that she was good with other dogs. Unfortunately, that has not turned out to be the case. We have tried everything (hired a trainer, used the crate, leashing her while at home) and while there has been some improvement, she is still at times unpredictable. This has led to the very difficult decision that she needs to be re-housed in a home without other pets or young children.
Addie’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Patient, loving, understanding owners. Probably best in a quieter home with 1-2 adults, older children.
