Meet Esther – A Hug-Loving, Sunshine-Soaking, Big-Personality Girl

Esther may be part Terrier, Boxer, and Pitbull—but to her family, she’s simply a one-of-a-kind soul. She’s five years old, about 50 pounds, and built for both adventure and affection.

Esther’s the dog who’ll clean your toddler’s snack trail from the floor one minute… and melt into a full-body hug the next.

She was the runt of her litter, nicknamed Tiny, and came home fitting snugly in a car cupholder. That fierce little spark hasn’t faded. She’s loving, loyal, and incredibly affectionate—especially with kids. Her favorite activities? Cuddles, zoomies, car rides, and camping trips. She’s a sunshine girl who doesn’t love the rain but absolutely lives for hikes and outdoor time with her people.

At home, she’s calm and cuddly. Out in the world, she needs a bit of extra support. Esther struggles with anxiety around other dogs and can be reactive if she feels threatened.

She also gets very excited when people come over, and her enthusiasm can be… well, loud. But with someone patient and active who’s willing to work on her confidence, she has so much joy to offer.

Esther is crate-trained, housebroken, and an excellent car companion. She hasn’t had formal training, but she responds well to structure and kindness. She may need future dental work, but she never complains—and even sits patiently for nail trims like a little pro.

Her ideal home? Someone with time, heart, and energy to pour into her. A home without other dogs, but with lots of love, outdoor time, and a sense of humor for those quirky zoomies and greeting barks.

She was the runt of the litter and when we picked her up she was climbing over all her siblings, that’s why we chose her, because she was so determined. She was so small, they named her Tiny and she could fit in the cupholder in the car.
I also used to drive around with her cuddled inside my shirt and she slept like a baby.

Esther is a very affectionate and enthusiastic dog who gets extremely excited when new people come over—sometimes barking and bouncing around to say hello. With young children at home, it’s been challenging to manage her energy and give her the daily exercise she needs. I love her deeply, but I feel she deserves more attention and outdoor time than I can currently provide.
