You ever meet someone and just know they cheated fate? That’s me—Ivan. I wasn’t supposed to make it. I was the scraggly black kitten in a too-small cage at a run-down pet shop in Texas, fighting off ringworm and boredom in equal measure. I didn’t even meow. I just… waited. Until she came. My person. My hero. She scooped me up, gave me a name, took me home, and introduced me to the wonders of warm beds, chin scritches, and food that didn’t come in a crusty dish.

I came alive. Literally. Within days of seeing the vet, I perked up like a cat-shaped sunflower. Suddenly, I had zoomies. I had opinions. I had plans.

I’m what you might call… spirited. Or spunky. Or, if you’re being honest, kind of a maniac. I meow back when you say my name. I climb walls (drywall is a suggestion, not a rule). I have a few behavioral quirks. Let’s call it “enthusiastic remodeling.” I need room to climb, zoom, and express my inner jungle cat. A cat tree, a buddy to wrestle, maybe even some supervised outdoor access would be a dream. I’m litter trained, neutered, microchipped, and once had all my shots (you’ll want to get me updated, of course).

Climbing, feathers, interactive toys that move, catnip, loved any food but I fed him the orange bag of Iams.

Cute Ivan Story:

I saved him from a not so good pet shop. He had ringworm and was locked in a teeny tiny cage as a baby. I took him home. I got him neutered and vaccinated and micro chipped. Whenever I first got him he was very lethargic and cuddly after I took him to the vet and had him vaccinated and dewormed, he perked up within a couple days and became a happy kitty cat. I do believe that if I didn’t save him from the pet shop, he would’ve died.

Why is Ivan Being Rehomed?

I can’t afford to keep repairing the damage he does to my wallpaper.

A home with at least another animal so that he can play because he loves to play maybe somewhere he can climb trees. He’s always been an indoor cat, but I know that he would love to be able to climb a tree because he loves climbs my walls.
