World-class hunters and exceptional family dogs, the Springer Spaniel originated in Spain, and has been used for centuries by wild game hunters to “flush out” prey on land.
In the field, these dogs are dedicated and relentless; in the home they are loving and loveable clowns who love to play and have fun.
English Springer Spaniels also excel in obedience, agility, tracking and flyball. Springers stand about 20 inches at the shoulder and weigh between 40 and 50 pounds. The long, dense, double coat is usually liver and white and requires regular brushing and occasional trimming to keep it in good condition.
