Nina is a Female Black Labrador Retriever Mix dog for adoption to a very loving home in or near Peace River, Alberta. This very special dog is 3 years old and weighs 70 pounds.

1. She is kind of dopey but genuinely wants her people to be happy and tries hard to help get them there.
2. When she is happy and has a squeaky toy she will roll around on it and generally act the fool.
3. Sometimes she will get on the couch next to someone and put her cheek right in front of their face to demand kisses.
4. She loves it when you raspberry her cheek.
5. When watching TV on the couch she will sometimes put her head in my lap and fall asleep being pet.
Nina’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished dog, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do.

Nina’s Personality
Nina is a sweet loving dog who loves to play and be with her people. She loves exploring, going for walks, and playing tug. Her idea of a good time is sitting on the couch with her head in someone’s lap or hanging out in bed with them. If she isn’t fenced-in she will go exploring but she loves to run around in her backyard. She is very food driven and picks up new tricks and skills fairly well if you’re patient with her.

Cute Nina Story:
The first time Nina met a friend of mine she was a bit suspicious but warmed up to him pretty quickly. However, when he went to leave, she wasn’t happy about it. Then he touched his shoes to put them on and Nina freaked out and ran around like her tail was on fire because the shoes moved with no feet in them. She kept running back to my friend to check on him but then would spot the shoes and ran away again. This went on for 10 minutes.
Why is Nina Being Rehomed?
We have 2 other dogs and over the course of a few weeks Nina got into a fight with both. One (the chihuahua) could have been very seriously injured. Unfortunately, she and our aussie will not let the fight go and, given the opportunity, would resume the fight as soon as they could. This is very unfortunate as they were the best of friends for over a year, but when they got in a fight Nina hurt the other dog fairly badly. We have no idea what started that fight, but the end result is we keep them separated at all times. Now that they are separated, Nina just wants to be part of the action and gets upset when we give attention to the other dogs, and vice-versa. It’s not fair for any of them. So, as much as it breaks our hearts, Nina needs to go somewhere she can live her best life as an only pet.
Nina’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
1. We are looking for a single pet Home. Nina is a sweet dog who loves her people, but she doesn’t deal well long term with other pets.
2. She needs a fenced back yard as she likes being outside when the weather is nice, but she will explore all over if she gets the opportunity.
3. Nina is an indoor dog. She has been raised to be with her people and it’s important to us that she truly be a part of her new family.
