Gracie’s Personality

Hi my name is GRACIE! I am a 1 year old hound border collie mix. I am professionally trained and love going to my daycare Sit Stay Play with other dogs! I am 32 pounds of loyal and sweet. My favorite activities are going for walkies, laying on my bed while you relax, and chewing all the toys!

Gracie border collie mix dog adoption tucson az

I sometimes get the zoomies and play catch with myself, but I am more than happy if you joined me in my playtime! I am nervous around new people and dogs at first, but with my training techniques I get used to everyone really fast and will learn to love anyone. I would prefer to be in a home with an older dog so I can keep on learning but am also happy being an only pup child. I would also do best in a home without kids, because they tend to stress me out.

Gracie is an Amazing Companion Because She is:

Typically very chill/calm in the house/apartment when doing work
Great runner/walker/hiker
Loyal
Playful with toys and fun to play fetch/run around the house with
when she trusts a person/other dog she is always sweet and fun to be around
she is great and patient when left alone during the day/night

Gracie’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Plush toys (although she tends to destroy them pretty quickly
Benta Bones/Nyla bones
Food games (put food in ball and she pushes it around
Turkey Bacon

Cute Gracie Story:

When people /dogs she knows are around she is always THRILLED to come say hi. We are teaching her not to jump but she will invite belly rubs and just gets so happy to see you.

Why is Gracie Being Rehomed?

Gracie is not good with kids under 12, and we plan on having a family. Her behavioral issues are not conducive to our very social lifestyle and we just want to find a more fitting home for her while she is young.

Gracie’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

No kids now or in the future, possibly with an older dog (she needs to be introduced properly if so), relaxed and willing to help with her training
