Maggie was abandoned by her owner. What was supposed to be a temporary stay with the owner’s friend turned into a situation where the owner has refused to take Maggie back with her.
Although the owner’s friend (Maggie’s foster Dad) loves her to pieces because she is such a great dog, he is not able to be her forever owner because he has a cat, and Maggie is not a fan of cats.
Maggie is looking for a fabulous new home with an active family who have a large, securely fenced yard and plenty of time to spend playing with her, taking her for walks, and just loving and cherishing her. Maggie will more than reciprocate to the family lucky enough to adopt her. She really is a prime example of why they coined the term “Man’s best friend”. Adopt this precious “Pitoxer” today!

Maggie’s Personality
Everyone calls her “Wag’s” because she is a happy dog that is always excited to see you. She loves play fetch (but isn’t very good at it), and she thinks she’s a master lizard hunter.
She loves long walks and sunbathing but spends most of the day chewing a bone or napping. She gets along with pretty much everyone (except cats) and is a huge cuddler that always wants to be near someone or getting her belly rubbed.
We call her a big baby because you can literally just pick her up and carry her like a kid and she loves it. She’s completely housebroken and rarely barks unless you get her excited when she’s playing or she sees a squirrel. She is a great dog who deserves a family that will love and play with her and give her all the belly scratches she wants.
Why is Maggie Being Rehomed?
A friend of ours about ten months ago asked us to help take care of her dog until she got back on her feet. After trying multiple times to return Maggie back to her owner, she told us she no longer wanted her and couldn’t take care of her.
My current living situation involves roommates with other animals, one being a cat, so she doesn’t get much time out of a bedroom which isn’t fair. I’m moving into a new place in July that allows no pets at all.
