This 2.5 year old Cheshire Cat lookalike weighs 15 cuddly pounds. He has a personality that is rare to come by – so cuddly and entertaining.  He’s one of those cats you can pick up and cuddle, sleep with, play fetch with (yes, fetch!) and who greets you at the door when you come home to let you know just how much you have been missed.

Pete’s owner is so sad to have to rehome him, but he doesn’t play nicely with her other cats, and would do much better being an only cat with someone who has lots of time for him. He wants to be the center of a special cat lover’s world.

Pete lives in Philadelphia, but his owner is a flight attendant, and can deliver him to you no matter where in the US or Canada you happen to be. Pete is a Male Tabby cat for adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This very special cat is 2.5 years old and weighs 15 pounds.

5 Amazing Things About Pete:

I love that he would rather play with me than alone.
When he is laying down I can just pick him up and cuddle with him or I can just lay next to him and out my arm around him and we can sleep together.
Pete loves to play fetch. He doesn’t always bring it back but if he sees another toy on the way to the toy that was thrown he has to stop to touch it before he proceeds. Which is pretty funny.
Love it when he greets me when I come home and shows me how much he has missed me.
I love how curious he is.

Pete’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished cat, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do.

They are hoping to find the right home where this deserving cat will be loved unconditionally and kept safe, happy, healthy and well-cared-for.

Pete’s Personality

Pete bonds with his human by playing with him. He loves to go on a balcony or patio. He may not be a lap cat but when he is calm and laying down you can just pick him up and set him on your lap or chest and give him some love. He loves that. Pete doesn’t like to be home alone for long periods of time. He needs his exercise. He loves treats, to look out the window and run around. He takes some time to get close to you, but when he does he loves to give biscuits while you are laying down.

Pete’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

His favorite is playing fetch with his spring toy but he also enjoys the Lazer, and tennis ball. He loves to run after things. He loves dried freeze salmon treats and whole minnows.

Cute Pete Story:

I think one of my favorite things about Pete is when he comes on to the couch give biscuits for a while and then just wants to get under the blanket and cuddle with me. He doesn’t do it very often and when he does he just really makes you feel loved.

Why is Pete Being Rehomed?

Pete is an aggressive player and even though he wants to play he is to aggressive for my girls and are afraid of him.

Pete’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I’m looking for someone that comes home from work everyday or works from home. Someone that is willing to play with him and give him lots of attention. Someone that is patient and understanding. He isn’t a calm, lap cat. Definitely has energy. Someone that understands when going on vacation would need to have someone check on him and play with and not be left alone while they are gone.

I would love to stay in touch with the new owner to make sure everything is going ok. I would also be willing if they are in my area to cat sit if they needed someone at no charge.
