Luigi and Carmela’s Current Home Environment

We used to work from home and live in a house with a doggie door and fenced yard. However, we have moved to the city due o job changes and I am away three days each week overnight. We live in a high rise with a lot of other dogs and they don’t like that.

They LOVE to be around people.

Luigi and Carmela’s Current Family:

It is just me and my fiancee. I have had these guys for three years – adopted them from a shelter at 6 months. They were really a handful however I have spent a LOT of time training them and Carmela is on Prozac for her anxiety and it helps immensely.

Luigi and Carmela’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

They love any heavy chew toy like Benebone and they love their Greenies and Dentastix.

They love playing with each other. Carmela is great at fetching a ball – Luigi not so much.

They LOVE to run….we job together 2-3 times a week – all three of us.

Cute Luigi and Carmela Story:

Sometimes when Peter gets home from work and I’m already home, he comes up to kiss and hug me and Luigi with try to squeeze between us because he wants his hugs and kisses first!

Carmela is my snuggle bug – no matter where I am she is by my side snuggled and nuzzling with me.

Why are Luigi and Carmela Being Rehomed?

We are away at work way too much now. It has been two months with this schedule with no change anticipated in the future. In addition, we live in a high rise in downtown Chicago, our choice, and the dogs really need a fenced yard and no other animals around.

Luigi and Carmela’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

A home with a fenced yard for them to play and preferably a doggie door. Children need to be at least 10 or twelve. Someone who can be home with them most evenings and weekends. They are fine during the day for 10 hours as long as they have their doggie door they are pretty low maintenance.

Additional Comments:

Carmela will take some time to get adjusted as she has anxiety issues but loves women. When my fiance moved in she barely stayed in the same room as he did for several months. Now they nap together and snuggle on the couch together. Luigi LOVES food so you have to feed them in different areas of the room or different rooms so he doesn’t push her out of the way to eat her food.
