Ruby is a cuddly chunk of love! She is 9 years old and not as active as Opal, but she holds her own in the back yard play! Ruby is the protector of everyone. She doesn’t bark much, but does so in warning of an unknown noise. Ruby loves to sit in your lap and when you reach down to get her, she turns with her butt towards you so she’s easier to pick up – it’s so funny! I think her doggy parents taught her she’s easier to pick up that way, since she’s got some weight on her!

Because Ruby is a little overweight, she backs up to you to get you to pick her up. I think her prior pet parents taught her to do this and it’s hilarious!
