Kozy is a Female Dalmatian Lab Mix dog for adoption to a very loving home in or near Charlotte, NC. This very special dog is 4 years old and weighs 50 pounds.

5 Amazing Things About Kozy:

Her personality. She’s good with my niece and nephew. Very cooperative even when she’s nervous while being at the groomers or the vet.

Kozy’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished dog, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do.

They are hoping to find the right home where this deserving dog will be loved unconditionally and kept safe, happy, healthy and well-cared-for.

All About Kozy – Dalmatian Lab Mix dog For Adoption in Charlotte NC

Health Problems: She has to go to the vet every month to have her anal glands expressed. Also, she has allergies so I try not to give her anything with poultry. Tried the Cytopoint Injection to help with allergies but she had a bad reaction to it and it didn’t help.
Behavior Issues: Yes Kozy has some anxiety issues. She is terrified of thunderstorms and fireworks. She is currently on Fluoxetine 30mg, Trazadone 200mg when needed, and Gabapentin 300 mg at night.  The main issue is when she’s anxious or is having any type of discomfort she goes into fight or flight mode. She’s not aggressive at all but she tries to escape by climbing up the windowsill and scratching at the blinds.

I’ve lost 3 family members within the past year and it’s been very difficult trying to grieve and take care of her. Mentally, I’m unable to do it anymore.

Kozy’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Experienced dog owners especially with anxiety. A family where someone is home during the day since I work remotely. She needs to be in a home and not in an apartment. Loud neighbors trigger  her anxiety.
