She’s the kind of girl who doesn’t just follow you into the room — she joins you in the room. Like, literally. On your lap. Or directly beside you, stealing just enough space to remind you she’s there, and just enough of your heart that you forget what it was like before her.
Bella is a 7-year-old German Shepherd who seems to have skipped the “aloof” memo her breed is known for. She’s affectionate to the point of comedic. Think big spoon energy, but with paws. You sit down, she follows. You lie down, she’s there. Personal space? Bella kindly disagrees — she is your personal space.
She’s also smart, loyal, playful, and deeply intuitive. She knows when you need company, when you need a laugh, and when you just need someone to press their head gently into your chest and stay. Her favorite pastime? Being in the middle of your day — and ideally, getting a belly rub while she’s at it.
Her current family loves her dearly. But with life pulling everyone in different directions and days growing longer and fuller, they’ve made the heartbreaking but deeply loving decision to find Bella a home where she’ll get the time, attention, and cuddles she thrives on.
She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and up to date on everything. Around people — especially children — Bella is a sweetheart. Around other dogs, she can be a bit of a queen bee. She’s not aggressive, just… confident in her position as Head Cuddle Officer. She’d do best in a home where she can either reign solo or be carefully matched with a laid-back dog who doesn’t mind letting her lead the parade.
Bella’s ideal home? Someone who’s around more often than not — whether you work from home, are retired, or just have a dog-shaped space in your life you’re ready to fill. She’s a mostly indoor girl (Texas heat and black fur don’t mix), but give her some toys, a shaded yard to sniff around, and your hand nearby for chin scritches, and she’ll be your ride-or-die in no time.
If you’ve ever wished your shadow could cuddle, or wanted a best friend who thinks you are the greatest thing to ever happen to the universe…
Bella’s waiting.

Cute Bella Story:
Every time I sit down on the couch, she always jumps either on my lap or right next to me so she can get a belly rub or a head rub. She’s very funny about that and loves getting in my personal space because she wants to be a part of it.
Why is Bella Being Rehomed?
Our family is extremely busy with our schedules, and Bella deserves and requires extra love attention, and we feel that she would thrive and do much better with a family who would be able to spend enough time with her and love her and give her the attention that she needs, and of course deserves
Bella’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
A single family or person who works from home or is at home enough to give enough love and attention on a daily basis Bella spends most of her time indoors other than going outside to go potty but because of the Texas heat, we keep her indoors as much as possible during the day.
