Dahlia gets along well with older children, adults, dogs and dog-friendly cats. What a great young family dog!
Dahlia’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished dog, but simply are not able to provide her with the attention, exercise and companionship that she needs and deserves. They are both working long hours, and leaving Dahlia home alone so much is not good for her – or for them. They worry about her happiness and want a better life for her.

Estrogen deficient urinary incontinence- Dahlia was fixed at 6 months old and the vet has since said that was too early. Dahlia has been evaluated by a vet and is prescribed a daily estrogen supplement. No issues with incontinence as long as she gets her pill daily with dinner.

Dahlia’s Personality
Dahlia is the sweetest dog, she loves her human brother and her 4 year old fur brother and sister (dogs). She is always ready to play and has never been aggressive. She did level 1 puppy training and knows her commands but is very easily distracted and needs frequent redirection. She is always keeping us laughing… she loves ice cubes and will chase them around if they fall out of the freezer and carries a toy everywhere she goes. She does not like baths but enjoys splashing around in the back yard sprinklers and kiddie pools.
Why is Dahlia Being Rehomed?
We brought Dahlia home when she was 4 months old and have loved every minute of it. Dahlia is a wonderful dog, so sweet and great with kids and other dogs. The reason we are making the heartbreaking decision to rehome her is her energy level. We moved to an area that isn’t ideal for a busy dog and I feel like we do not have the resources for her to live the best life possible.
She is high energy and my husband and I work full time so she spends her day in a crate. We have a baby on the way and realize that we will have even less time for her and it’s not fair to keep her just because we want her when she could go somewhere to live a better life.
