This very handsome boy has been fixed, fully vaccinated, housebroken, microchipped, leash trained, obedience trained, and crate-trained, and is good with older children, dog-friendly dogs, and dog-friendly cats. He is what we call a “ready to love” dog – just adopt and adore!
Kronk likes to attach himself to a favorite human and follow them everywhere. He’s a great little companion with lots of moral support to offer as you go through your day. He likes to sit beside you on the couch and get gentle pets and tummy rubs. He loves to play with his toys and enjoy healthy snacks. He’s obedient and very lovable.

Kronk is looking for a very special and very specific new home. He needs a quiet home with a strong routine, and an owner who can give him lots of time and attention. He would be a wonderful companion for a retired dog lover looking for just one special little Miniature Dachshund to spoil and cherish.
Kronk was taken from his mother a couple weeks to early, and as a result, he has some anxiety around small children. He’s not a fan of loud noises or big surprises, so a strong routine and a quiet environment without the presence of small kiddos is essential for his safety and well-being. He is OK with older, respectful children.

Kronk’s Personality
He is happy and runs around when everything is calm and quiet. He is very attached to me and likes to follow me around the house when I am home. But he becomes extremely nervous when the grand children show up. He sometimes hides or jumps on the couch.
If they get too close to him he growls and snaps. On some occasions he has been aggressive at the front door when people knock. We usually pick him up when we open the door. That seems to help tame is aggression or make him feel safe.
We usually tell people who come to our house to ignore him because that makes him happier and it helps him feel more comfortable with them. He is good with other dogs. We have 3 other dogs and at one point our property had 8 other dogs. He seemed to enjoy being part of a pack.
We got Kronk from a Breeder but for some reason the breeder wanted me to pick him up two weeks earlier. I believe he was too young to come to us that’s making him so very nervous. I want the very best for him because we care for him. Our home is not the best for him anymore.
Oh, he doesn’t like to be groomed. He is fine if I give him a bath and brush but he gets too nervous when he goes to the groomers.
Why is Kronk Being Rehomed?
We now have small grand children over every day and he is very stressed and nervous around them. My grandson fell on him by accident and he turned to bite him. Our home has become to stressful for him. He needs a new home that will be less stressful. He will be much happier.
