1.) When Anders is comfortable, he loves to hang out on his back and spread out as much as he can! 2.) Very quiet, gentle boy to the people he loves – once he warms up to you, you’re in his circle for life. 3.) Will be your bathroom buddy – he loves to sit in the bathroom if you’re in there! 4.) He’s such a quietly curious boy – he loves to sit at the window and watch birds and squirrels go by. One of his favorite places in the house is the three season patio, where he can sit by the mesh screen and watch the birds at the birdfeeder. 5.) When we’re watching TV, he seems to know that our attention is on the screen rather than him, so he lays down in front of the TV and slow blinks at us while we’re watching our shows. He’s perfectly content to sit there and quietly enjoy our company!
Anders’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished cat, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do.

Anders’s Personality
Anders is a very sweet, introverted boy. He loves pets and cuddles and treats, but he usually won’t go right up to you and ask for them. He asks for attention by sitting a couple feet away and staring until you acknowledge him, and then he will trot over with his tail up and relish in the attention. He’s less intense about snuggle time, but when he wants to, he goes all in – belly rubs are oddly one of his favorites! He just needs some time to get comfortable in a new place with new people. He LOVES bathrooms – if you go in and close the door, when you come out, chances are he will be waiting by the door. He likes to be in the bathroom when you shower and he loves to sit on the toilet lid.
Anders’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Anders likes teaser toys and catnip toys! He loves interactive play with people, but he’s also happy to roll around licking a catnip toy by himself. He loves treats, and if he hears someone open the temptations box he’ll come running then stare patiently until he gets his snack. Anders loves to be picked up and carried around, as long as you’re willing to put him down when he decides he’s over it. When he’s chilling on his back with his belly up, he actually enjoys stomach pets! His favorite thing to do is hang out in the same area as someone he likes and just enjoy the company!
Cute Anders Story:
I was staying up late one night, and Anders saw that I was awake and not paying attention to him and decided to remedy that! So he jumped up on the bed and curled up right on the junction between my right shoulder and neck and purred as hard as he could, staring into my eyes the entire time. He ended up helping me fall asleep and I woke up with him in the same position.
Why is Anders Being Rehomed?
It’s nothing that Hawke and Anders have done wrong! We are both very busy, and don’t have the time to give the boys the attention they need to thrive. We also have cat allergies, which means they cannot sleep in our room with us and they are NOT happy about that! They’re also a little too high energy for our senior cats who are not interested in playing with them, but Hawke and Anders can’t seem to get the hint so the two sets of cats don’t get along very well.
Anders’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Someone who can give them the attention they need, and loves to snuggle! The boys love to sleep in bed with someone at night, so someone who’s willing to have two snuggly furballs pressed up against them is ideal. Hawke and Anders have a lot of love to give, and they deserve someone who loves them just as much in return!
