Meet Hawke – Pre-Loved Domestic Longhair cat For Adoption by Owner in Warwick MD

Hawke is a Male Domestic Longhair cat for adoption to a very loving home in or near Warwick, MD. This very special cat is 3 years old and weighs 12 pounds.

5 Amazing Things About Hawke:

1.) Hawke loves to love and be loved, and will start purring like an engine if you pet him or pick him up. 2.) He gets so excited going after a teaser wand sometimes that he’ll do backflips trying to catch it. 3.) When he sees you get home, he trots right up and chirps at you to say hello! 4.) He’s a star at the groomer and vet, they always compliment him on being well behaved and chill. 5.) One of his favorite ways to get attention is to walk in front of you, make sure you’re watching, and then flop onto his back to tempt you into giving him belly pets.

Hawke’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished cat, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do.

They are hoping to find the right home where this deserving cat will be loved unconditionally and kept safe, happy, healthy and well-cared-for.L

Hawke’s Personality

Hawke is a very sweet, outgoing boy! He sticks to his favorite people like Velcro whenever he can, and loves to be picked up and held. If you have a teaser toy and a willingness to play, you’ll be his best friend. If someone he likes sits down, he will run over to splay himself across as much of their chest and lap as he’s allowed to. He’s a very sweet and overall gentle cat toward people – the only time he’s scratched me has been during play!

Hawke’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Hawke loves teaser wands and interactive toys! He’s not very treat motivated, he much prefers praise and cuddles, but he’s happy to eat his dry food. His favorite activities are cuddling with his people, getting pets, and chasing toys.

Cute Hawke Story:

Hawke loves watching the birds outside. One day, when I got home, he bolted out the door past me into the open-air hallway of my apartment complex. I initially freaked out – I didn’t want him to get hit by a car! – but he stopped around five feet from my door and just froze. It was like he had made a plan to get outside and hadn’t thought through the rest of it! He let me scoop him up and bring him inside. He looked so shocked for the rest of the day – I think the outside world was more than he bargained for!

Why is Hawke Being Rehomed?

It’s nothing that Hawke and Anders have done wrong! We are both very busy, and don’t have the time to give the boys the attention they need to thrive. We also have cat allergies, which means they cannot sleep in our room with us and they are NOT happy about that! They’re also a little too high energy for our senior cats who are not interested in playing with them, but Hawke and Anders can’t seem to get the hint so the two sets of cats don’t get along very well.

Hawke’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Someone who can give them the attention they need, and loves to snuggle! The boys love to sleep in bed with someone at night, so someone who’s willing to have two snuggly furballs pressed up against them is ideal. Hawke and Anders have a lot of love to give, and they deserve someone who loves them just as much in return!

Part of a bonded pair with Anders, his twin brother!
