Max is being placed for adoption by owner for the following reason:
Max and one of our older cats do not get along. She is very aggressive with him. I think it is making him more skittish around us and he peed outside the litter box a few times.
Meet Max, Maine Coon Mix Cat For Private Adoption in Ladera Ranch CA
Looking to adopt a very special cat in Orange County? Max is just such a cat, a gorgeous long hair Maine Coon mix cat with a personality so sweet that he instantly wraps his fluffy, tufted paws around your heart within minutes of meeting him.
Max is only 2 years old. He is fixed and up to date on his shots. Max loves people and is extremely laid back and patient with children. He gets along well with other cats, dogs and other family pets.
Max’s owners are devastated to have to find him a new home, but unfortunately, their home is not ideal for Max. He has been under siege by an older cat in their home, and is constantly being brutalized and kept away from the litter box. As a result, Max has had occasional accidents outside the litter box, including committing the ultimate offence – peeing in his Dad’s shoe.
Max had urinary crystals at one point, which were cleared up by sticking to a special cat food. Stress can make this condition recur, so being beaten up by another cat constantly is not a good situation.
Max is such a sweet and special guy. In a home where he can be the only cat, with a litter box that is kept clean and with litter and a box to his liking, it is unlikely that there will be further pee incidents.
Max would love to be in a home where he is the only pet, and the recipient of lots of love, attention and snuggles. He needs to be an indoors-only cat, and would love a home with lots of sunny windows from which he can bird-watch. He is anything-but an aloof, independent cat – he needs lots of attention. It would be fabulous to find a home with retired, work from home, or home-school cat lovers.
Max’s favorite little girl is taking the decision to rehome him very badly, so it would be wonderful if his new owner would keep in touch with her and send her updates and photos from time to time.
Max will be rehomed with vet records and any supplies the new owners will need for the first few weeks. Please offer this amazing cat the loving home he needs and deserves today.
