Sammy is what we call a “ready to love” dog. He thrives on attention and truly wants to be man’s best friend. Sammy loves cuddle time above all else, particularly when he can snuggle down into a blanket like a doggy burrito. Equally enjoyable for Sammy is curling up on your neck and back like a parrot. He just wants to be near his humans at all times and is an amazing companion. In his new home, Sammy would like to continue his training to prevent him from jumping up on people in greeting. He would greatly prefer to be the only pet in his new home where he can be the true star of the show and receive heaps of belly rubs and kisses. It will be important for Sammy to receive opportunities for regular exercise and walks so he can explore his love of the outdoors and let his sniffer roam free. Sammy’s Personality

Sammy is a lover. He loves snuggle time. Sammy sleeps in a crate at night and is crated when no one is home. He loves hard chew toys. Sammy does not do well with pet beds but loves to sleep with a blanket and chew toy. Sammy needs attention and walks to burn off energy. Sammy does not know to come back. He needs to be leashed or in a fenced area.

Sammy loves setting on the back of the couch and watching out the window. As you can see in the picture, he leaves his nose art behind. Sammy is not a beggar for table food. He is not destructive either. Sammy would do best being an only pet. He enjoys watching other pets walk by, but does not like them in his space. When bored, Sammy is vocal and has the Beagle howl. He requires brushing at least once per week. Sammy does shed. Sammy’s biggest fear is nail clippers.
