If you’ve been dreaming of a big-hearted, green-eyed buddy who’s part supermodel, part stand-up comic, and 100% lovebug—meet Spice.
This 3-year-old Ragdoll mix from Middleton, Idaho is everything the breed is adored for: affectionate, intelligent, calm—but with a gloriously goofy streak that makes life just a little brighter every day.
Spice isn’t just a cat. He’s a cuddle connoisseur, a string-chasing champion, and an expert in emotional support—whether you’re playing “scaredy cat” or just need someone to snuggle with during tough times.
5 Things His Family Adores About Him:
💙 He’ll even cuddle with grumpy ol’ Dad.
💙 He has to inspect every room, even if he’s just been in it five minutes ago—hence the nickname, Inspector Spice.
💙 Watching him leap onto his cat tower to chase a sunbeam is comedy gold.
💙 He loves playing the “scaredy cat” game—where he bolts off like a cartoon character if you growl at him.
💙 He’s stubborn, strong, and smart—he knows exactly where the treats are stashed.
Why Spice Is Looking for a New Home
Spice has been deeply loved since the day he was born, right alongside his sister, Shugar. But after a difficult period last year when he went missing and returned a changed boy, reuniting him with his feline family has sadly not been successful. Despite every effort—including slow reintroductions, calming meds, and lots of patience—Spice simply cannot coexist peacefully with other cats.
And while he’s living in one bedroom now with playtime breaks, his humans know in their hearts that he deserves a home where he has the freedom to roam, stretch, and be his full silly, affectionate self—without feline roommates stressing him out.
Spice’s Dream Home:
Spice would thrive as your one-and-only cat. He’s a people-person through and through—great with humans aged 8+, eager to play, and content to curl up beside you while you work or relax. His ideal home includes:
-
Lots of love and attention
-
A good lap and a soft pillow
-
Toys galore and space to explore
-
No other cats (and dogs are currently unknown)
Spice’s Special Story
His family recalls a moment that truly sums up who he is:
“I was crying on my bed recently—it’s been a very tough year—and Spice jumped up, snuggled close, and stayed there until I calmed down. He knew I needed him.”
That’s the kind of companion Spice is—goofy, smart, independent when he wants to be—but always ready with comfort and love when you need it most.
Spice Comes With:
🧶 A starter set of food and favorite treats
🧸 A package of new toys
🛏 His beloved small cat tower (if you’d like it!)
💉 His veterinary records

Spice’s Personality
Our cat Spice is an energetic goofball who loves to play or laze around on a bed all day. He’s an absolute sweetheart and loves pets/cuddles (especially loves to lay in your lap with a comfortable pillow), he’s happy to hang out with you while you work. Spice is very curious and he often call him Inspector Spice because he has to inspect every room he goes into.
Spice is playful, he especially loves chasing after colorful balls or going after a string that’s under a blanket. He’s pretty quiet, except for the times he wants outside, wants out of a room, or into a room, then he’ll definitely let you know. He’s a tough guy as well, pretty adaptable, and smart, (he can sniff out the treat bag easily), and above all he’s one of the silliest cats I’ve ever known.
Spice’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Food: Friskies Treats (especially beef, chicken, and fish), Delectable’s Lickable Treats (He prefers chicken more than seafood, but he still enjoys both), Blue Buffalo pate, Churu Cat Treats, egg yolk
Toys: Colorful string, laser light, colorful balls, plush toys, and silvervine root
Activities: Playing “string under the blanket” game, the “scaredy cat” game (where you growl at him and he runs away), snuggling up to you, laying on various surfaces (especially cat towers and beds).
Cute Spice Story:
I remember once, I was crying on my bed recently (it’s been a very tough year) and he jumped up and snuggled with me for a long time until I calmed down. He gave me the emotional support I needed in that moment
Why is Spice Being Rehomed?
Unfortunately, Spice is unable to get along with our other cats in the household. We have tried introducing and reintroducing him several times (we even tried Feliway and calming meds), but he has become aggressive and territorial.
We have to keep him separate from the other cats (he’s living in my bedroom at the moment) and we think he’d be happier in a single cat/pet household.
Although I let him out to play and explore several times a day, we want him to have more freedom to move and enjoy the whole house, not just time outside my bedroom. We feel he would be much happier and that’s what we want for him.
Spice’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
I want an adoptive family who will give Spice all the loves, pets, playtime, treats, and food he could ask for. Someone who can see how much of a goofball he is and love his vibrant personality. I want to make sure he has plenty of space to run around and the freedom to do what he needs without having to worry about other cats being around. I want him to be happy living in a home with people who will love him and give him all the attention he requires.
Note: I will send you photos of him. Unfortunately, I think our photos are either to large or unable to be processed as we tried submitting this form once before, and it refused to submit. We’re trying again without the photos.
We’ve had Spice since he was born as a kitten, we adopted him from his mom along with his litter mate sister Shugar. Unfortunately, in Sep 2024 he disappeared from home, and we got him back in Oct 2024. We have tried for over a year at this point to get him reintroduced to the other cats (even his litter mate sister) in our household, however, as soon as we got to visuals, he got super aggressive and tried jumping the barrier. No matter how slow we go, it doesn’t seem to matter.
Humans? He loves them! Other cats? Nope!
This is breaking our hearts, but we want what’s best for him and we know that means letting him go. Please, help us find him a good home that’ll love him, we don’t make this decision lightly.
