Bonnie’s Personality

Bonnie is the sweetest baby and is so cuddly and affectionate. She just loves to be around people and get attention. She will lean up on you or sit on your feet for hours, just so she can be touching you. Bonnie is quite the squirrel and fly hunter. Bonnie is best suited to be the only pet in the house. She has a lot of happy energy and loves to express it through zoomies with toys. Bonnie is not a beggar for food and knows all basic commands. She is an absolute goof and is so floppy. She will tumble onto the floor in the weirdest positions just asking for belly rubs.

Bonnie is an Amazing Companion Because She is:

– The most affectionate dog we have ever met
– Super cuddly
– Wonderfully energetic
– Always happy and smiley (and yes she does smile)
– Very curious and loves to investigate new things (especially sprinklers)

Bonnie’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

– ALL the belly rubs, ALL the time
– She loves bones to chew on
– She LOVES squeaky toys
– She will cuddle soft toys and use them as pillows
– Any treats are good treats
– Chasing squirrels is her all time favorite activity
– She loves a good walk and can walk long distances comfortably ( 5+ miles)
– She can join in on runs (max 1.5 miles), but they aren’t her favorite so she will go slow

Cute Bonnie Story:

Bonnie is infatuated with a sprinkler system. When they pop up out of the ground, she will just sit and watch. She can do this for hours on end.

When we play cornhole Bonnie likes to stand in between the two boards and will jump super high to try and catch the bags. She ends up doing full cartwheels in the air.

We call Bonnie the “Nutcracker” because she – gently- likes to put her face as close as she can between your legs. She expects to be petted and loved. She doesn’t actually crack nuts!

Why is Bonnie Being Rehomed?

Bonnie needs to be the only pet in the home. Unfortunately, we can’t keep both of our pups.

Bonnie’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Must be the only pet in the house.
Needs a house, not an apartment.
Needs a fenced yard that has trees or some sort of squirrel action.
Needs an active family that can keep up with her happy energy.
Most importantly, she needs to be loved unconditionally.

Additional Comments:

Bonnie is an amazing dog who has played with other large dogs at doggie daycare – she usually gets along pretty well with dogs but with inconsistent triggers, it’s best for Bonnie to be the only dog in her new home. She’s very sweet and social. Bonnie knows several commands – sit, lie down, stay, and leave it. She is gentle with treats and toys. She does well with her teeth and ear cleaning, as well as nail trims! She’s doesn’t beg for food, she’ll go and lie down politely. Bonnie loves people so much but due to her size, when she is excited around smaller children she may jump up. An active family with older children would be ideal for Bonnie given her personality and energy needs!
