This adorable little dog is so loving and devoted. She adores her humans and will play with you and/or snuggle up on the couch with you all day long. She is submissive, so doesn’t really enjoy trips to the dog park. She will hide behind her owners legs. Hazel would make the perfect companion for a senior looking for a charming little companion.

Just 3 years years old and weighing 15 lbs, Hazel has been fixed, fully vaccinated, house broken, crate trained and obedience trained. This delightful small dog is good with older children, adults, dog-friendly cats, and other small dogs.
Hazel’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished Dog, but a divorce and change in circumstances has left Hazel home alone much of the time. She deserves to be the center of her owner’s world, and they are hoping to find a new home for Hazel where she will be cherished and kept safe, happy, and healthy for life.

Not sure if this is an issue as much as a preference…she loves socks, loves to collect them, lay on them. The issue comes if you try to take them away, she will nip at you. She doesn’t do this with food, toys, or anything else, only socks.

Hazel’s Personality
Hazel is very playful, energetic in small bursts. She gets along with other small dogs, but is more cautious around larger dogs and they tend to pick on her because of how submissive she is. She does not like dog parks and hides behind human legs if taken there. She prefers human attention and loves playing fetch and laying on the couch with her human or by herself.
We have rabbits in our area and she loves to chase them as well as birds, though never catches them. She has an uncanny ability to find socks and will collect as many as she can find, or just lay on one and be very happy. It’s her only guarding tendency and harmless because she doesn’t chew them or put holes in them. She never chewed up shoes or furniture, so we never had to correct that behavior. She has bitten hands when unfamiliar people give her a sock and then try to take it away as a game. To her it’s not a fun game.
Why is Hazel Being Rehomed?
My family situation has changed, recently divorced, 2 kids spend half their time away from home and I work a lot of hours, not much time available for her as originally planned.
