Hi, My name is Fig!
If you have been looking for a small ray of sunshine on 4 legs, I’m happy to shine on you! I’m a gorgeous little girl with a personality to match. I’m only 4 years old and weigh just 8 pounds. I am so well behaved. I am house trained and litter trained. I walk very well on a leash, too. I have been spayed and fully vaccinated. My vet says that I am very healthy.
I am one of nature’s designer dogs; a very lovely mix of Italian Greyhound, Chihuahua and Jack Russell Terrier. I have a lot of excitement for life, and it can be very contagious. I can put a smile on your face no matter what kind of day you have been having. I’m also calm and quiet. I have little spirts of energy, but they are just enough to add to my charm.
I have a silky short coat in colors of fawn and white, with deep brown eyes that let you know how much I love you. I’m easy to look after and very easy to love.
Like have a best friend, Cocoa, who lives with me. She is amazing! She looks just like Chloe from “Beverly Hills Chihuahua” and is very bit as smart and sweet. We would dearly love to find our forever home together. You can learn all about Cocoa here!
As much as my owner loves me and Cocoa, her life has recently changed dramatically. She has become engaged to a really wonderful man. They are hoping to get married and move in together soon, but – tragically – he is extremely allergic to dogs, me and Cocoa included. We don’t want to stand in the way of our owner’s future happiness, so are looking for a new home with owner who will cherish us. We are very special dogs and will add immeasurable love, laughter, joy and companionship to our new home.
Our perfect home will be with a family with older children or a retired person or couple. We love nothing better than snuggling, and like to have our people with us as much as possible. We are not the kind of dogs that like to be left alone all day. We want to be your focus – not an afterthought.
We’re OK with other dogs, but not really into playing with them. Same with cats. If they are good with dogs, we are fine with them. Tiny children frighten us as you never know when they are going to poke our eyes, pull our tails or crush the living daylights out of us. Kids old enough to know we are not toys, but delicate 6 and 8 pound doggies – and who will treat us with kindness and respect will be fine.

Personality
Fig is pretty easy going and sweet, with little spurts of energy and playfulness. She loves other dogs (even though big ones sometimes scare her initially). She likes to cuddle and enjoy just being next to human (or dog) warmth. She has a great personality, her excitement is contagious, but it’s nice because it only comes in small doses (not overly hyper), and overall she is calm. If anything I would describe Fig like this: She is a dog that wants love, sometimes she doesn’t know how to ask for it, but when it’s given, she really takes it and soaks in it.
Reason For Rehoming
My fiance and I are moving in together – unfortunately he has severe allergies.
