All About Gus the Pomsky

Gus the Pomsky – A Princess with a Playful Soul (And a Thing for Bubbles)

Let’s get one thing straight right out of the gate: Gus is royalty. Not in the snobby, snooty sense — more in the “don’t even think about asking me to go outside unless the weather is absolutely perfect” kind of way.

His kingdom? A cozy home with room to bounce, bark, and chase bubbles like it’s a full-time job. His crown? A fluff-matted stuffed animal that’s been loved within an inch of its life. His royal decree? No small children, please — but older kids, teenagers, or adoring adults are absolutely welcome to apply for the title of Gus’s Favorite Person Ever.

Gus is a 4-year-old Pomsky (cross between a Pomeranian and a Siberian Husky) with the perfect blend of sass and sweetness. He’s playful, energetic, and a total goofball — especially when there are bubbles floating around the backyard. (Yes, bubbles — this boy will leap and twirl like a fuzzy acrobat to catch one mid-air.) He’s happiest when he has a toy in his mouth, a treat in sight, and an audience to admire his antics.

And while he’s got Husky-level vocal talents and Pomeranian charm, don’t expect him to be much of an adventurer. If it’s hotter than 65° or colder than a whisper, Gus will kindly decline your invitation outdoors. A true indoor gentleman.

Gus has been loved deeply since day one. His current family made the painful decision to rehome him only because life has become too cramped — with small children and limited space, it’s no longer the environment where Gus can thrive. This isn’t a story of giving up — it’s one of giving Gus the best life possible.

He does beautifully with other dogs, especially his best friend Winnie (who can be adopted with him or separately). He’s not a fan of cats and prefers a calm home where the only thing he has to compete with is a peanut butter-filled Kong. He’s crate trained, housebroken, and up to date on all his vet care. He just needs that one person (or family) who gets him — quirks, diva moments, and all.

If your home has older kids or is a peaceful, pet-loving haven without little ones underfoot, Gus could be your perfect match. And if you happen to enjoy a pup with opinions and a healthy sense of drama? Well, Gus is ready to bring the entertainment.

Are you the lucky someone who gets to win over this big-personality, bubble-chasing boy? Visit https://pet-net.net/adopt/ to apply, or email us at petrehomingnetwork@gmail.com with any questions. Gus can’t wait to find his happily-ever-after — preferably at a perfect 63 degrees.

5 Amazing Things About Gus:

Gus is very playful and energetic. Surprisingly, he’s not much of an outdoor pup. We call him a princess because he only likes to be outside when it’s about 61°-65°. Everything else is either too hot or too cold.

He would love playing with older kids or teenagers, but he’s not great with smaller children. He definitely needs an environment like a house as opposed to an apartment because he definitely talks as much as Pomeranians and huskys do.

Gus’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished dog, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do.

They are hoping to find the right home where this deserving dog will be loved unconditionally and kept safe, happy, healthy and well-cared-for.

If you have room in your heart and home for Gus, then please offer a loving, forever home today. Gus can’t wait to show you the true meaning of unconditional love.

Gus’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

They both love chewing on their bones. They love stuffed animals (until they get the squeaker out. Gus likes to hang on to a stuffed animal after all of the fluff is gone. They love Nubz treats and peanut butter. They are not given table food.  They both love to play with each other.

Cute Gus Story:

Gus loves to chase and bite at bubbles when our 10 year old is blowing them in the back yard

Why is Gus Being Rehomed?

Unfortunately, our home has been losing space for years and it’s getting tighter. We have very small children that the pups are not good with. We won’t be in a position to move to a larger home for a few more years. It’s just not fair to the pups.

Gus’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Older kids/teenagers or no kids.  A home would be better than an apartment from a noise perspective.
