She’s a one-of-a-kind soul wrapped in a soft, 70-pound, marshmallowy body with eyes that could melt glaciers and a personality that’s somehow equal parts circus clown, toddler with ADHD, and angel on earth.
When you meet Pretty, you won’t just notice her — you’ll feel her. That full-body wiggle she does when she sees her favorite people? That’s not just a happy dance. That’s love erupting in real time.
Her joy is infectious, her enthusiasm unstoppable, and her squeaky toy obsession… legendary. She has a sixth sense for where they’re hidden. One minute, the toy bin is untouched; the next, Pretty has pulled out just the right squeaky lamb with surgical precision and is parading it around like a trophy from the Toy Olympics.
But don’t let the goofball routine fool you — this girl has layers. She’s incredibly smart (Border Collie mix — you bet she is), emotionally tuned in, and so loyal she might actually cry if you go to the bathroom without her.
She once navigated a spiral staircase within hours of arriving in her new home, mastered the Cone of Shame like it was a fashion statement, and used it as a bulldozer to clear her path. Where others sulk, Pretty just… conquers.
She adores car rides, long walks, agility obstacles, wrestling with her Great Pyrenees brother, and pretending she’s the sheriff of the backyard — squirrels and ravens beware!
She gets along beautifully with other dogs, thinks cats are fun to chase (but lovingly so), and will happily accept kisses, belly rubs, or frozen blueberries (one. at. a. time. thank you very much).
Now, we won’t sugarcoat it: Pretty has some anxiety. She’s still learning how to be alone without worrying the whole house has vanished. She’s been known to chew things — not maliciously, but because feelings are hard and sometimes couch cushions are just right there.
She needs someone patient, kind, active, and willing to give her both structure and love (and ideally lots of squeaky toys she’s actually allowed to destroy). A confident dog sibling would be a bonus. A farm? Even better. An adventure-loving family who believes in second chances? Jackpot.
Pretty’s current human has given her so much — time, toys, training, and unconditional love. But sometimes, love means knowing when someone else can give more.
Her person writes with tears in her eyes and a heart full of hope that Pretty’s next chapter will be her best one yet — full of hikes, playmates, bedtime cuddles, and finally, the peace and purpose this extraordinary dog deserves.
So if you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh daily, love you fiercely, and challenge you just enough to grow together — Pretty might just be your soulmate on four paws.

5 Amazing Things About Pretty:
Pretty has the biggest smile, gets so happy over and you can justy see that joy emanating from her big smile and her joyful eyes, and that adorable wiggle of her butt.
How happy she gets and knows where her ”chewies/squeakies” (her toys) are.
Her pretty blue eyes (how she got her name in the first place from a 4-year-old with her first family).
She gets excited when she sees her harness come out and knows she either gets to go for a walk or a car ride, and some kind of adventure is involved.
She loves people, loves to play with other dogs, and gets along with my kitties and even gives them kisses.
She will sleep in some of the oddest positions, with the tip of her tongue sticking out, or else sometimes letting out adorable snores.
Pretty’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished dog, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do.
They are hoping to find the right home where this deserving dog will be loved unconditionally and kept safe, happy, healthy and well-cared-for.
If you have room in your heart and home for Pretty, then please offer a loving, forever home today. Pretty can’t wait to show you the true meaning of unconditional love.

Pretty’s Personality
Pretty is a very happy personality full of spunk who has the biggest smile and oodles of spunk. She also has a lot of energy and a mind that likes to keep busy. She loves to play with her assorted collection of toys, or sometimes proudly running around with the best stick she could find.
She is a good protector of her home and likes to bark at the squirrels to let them know who’s home this is, and is also not a fan of a big black raven that comes around on occasion and tells him off.
Pretty loves to play with other dogs, mostly by running alongside them, although once comfortable enough, she will happily wrestle like she does with her big brother Kirk the Pyrenees as she grabs him by the scruff of the neck, his jowls, or his legs and torments him with her boundless energy.
Pretty is a huge snuggle bug and loves any chance to cuddle up while reading a book or watching TV, and adores any kind of physical attention. She does have anxiety, though, and even if I’m home will still cry to come in simply to make sure I’m still in the house and didn’t disappear, only to need to go back outside immediately to join my Pyrenees guy who’s patrolling the property.
She gets along great with my cats, although she occasionally tries to chase them for fun, which I’m trying to curb. We’ve been working hard on ”no jumping”, she’s getting better, rarely does it to me, but still forgets her manners with other people and i try to keep a training collar that i can beep or vibrate when we get visitors, especially small children as her excitement can overwhelm them- she’s also a happy little tank that will barrel her way through to give kisses and get attention. Overall, she is incredibly loving and sweet, plays well with dogs, bigger kids, and humans, but has a lot of energy.
Pretty’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Pretty has a wide variety of toys; she loves stuffed toys with squeakers that she then works at taking apart. She loves her giant squeaky ball with little rubber spikes, and she has a few long rubber chew sticks. She has a little collection of tennis balls, and she occasionally enjoys playing catch if thrown. There’s a set of large rubber rings she likes to play tug with, and if a dog friend is visiting who’s into it, they’ll both play tug together since my big Pyrenees isn’t into toys.
Pretty eats Purina One Lamb at the moment since her big bro can’t do beef or chicken, if not monitored, she will gobble up her brother’s portion of kibble, who’s a grazer. She loves treats of any kind and is a big fan of frozen blueberries, but will only eat them one at a time and not set in a dish.
Pretty enjoys going for car rides most of the time and getting to stick her head out the window, unless the pressure becomes too much, and then she’ll go sit/lie on the floor for a bit. She loves going to the off-leash dog park and even started attempting the agility circuit with a few small ramps and other obstacles. We will go to dog-friendly stores like PetValu and Canadian Tire.
We often have visitors come over with their dogs and kids, and Pretty loves playing with them.
My roommate will take her for walks in the area when she is home on her days off, so Pretty gets to see the neighbouring cows, ponies, and horses on occasion.
Pretty is a big fan of the woodstove in the TV room and will happily lie/sit in front of it when the weather is chilly and watch the fire alongside a cat if I’m down there watching a movie or working.
Also, LOVES Catnip!
Cute Pretty Story:
Pretty’s determination is uncanny. When she first arrived, she mastered the spiral stairs in the house faster than any other dog who’d come around ever before, some never: Pretty- not even half a day it took.
When she got spayed and had to rock the cone of shame, I opted for the inflatable donut to make life easier for her, well, if she didn’t manage to get it off multiple times. So, back cone of shame it was, and she navigated the world using that cone like an extension of her rambunctious self; she turned into a little bulldozer from a tank.
Where other dogs may have lain down and sulked their time away while wearing the cone of shame, Pretty embraced it. That cone would get rinsed and cleaned more than thought possible, and barely made it in one piece by the time the spay healing time was up, and the cone could be removed, it could be reused or saved. Pretty carried like that cone wasn’t even there. ”Cone? What Cone?” Her only frustration, she was limited to what toys she could play with; she couldn’t hold them down with her paws with that cone in the way
Why is Pretty Being Rehomed?
I’ve done my best to give Pretty the love and stability she deserves since she was unexpectedly left with me last summer. What was meant to be a simple meet-and-greet turned into a permanent drop-off — no supplies, no proper goodbye — just a leashless handoff and a bewildered, high-energy pup suddenly in my care.
She was still so young, full of boundless energy and zero structure. I scrambled to get her what she needed — a crate, a bed, toys — and hoped I could make it work. And for a while, I did. But the truth is, I’m stretched too thin. I work from home, manage an acreage alone, and already have a laid-back dog who suits my lifestyle. Pretty needs far more than I can give: time, stimulation, companionship, and an outlet for her sharp mind and bright spirit.
Rehoming her is breaking my heart. I feel like I’m letting her down. But I know she deserves a home that matches her energy and potential — one where she can truly thrive. I love her deeply, and that’s exactly why I’m making this decision.
