Meet Chloe, Goldendoodle Dog For Adoption in Austin TX

Chloe is a Golden/brown; medium/wavy Female Goldendoodle Dog for adoption to a very loving home in or near Austin TX. This very special puppy is 4 months 1 week old and weighs 15lbs.

Chloe is being placed for adoption by owner for the following reason:
I have nothing and no one to blame except myself for my poor foresight. The previous semester I could manage my schedule but recently I find I do not have enough time to spend with Chloe. I used to be able to take her out to Zilker or the Greenbelt every day but now she spends a lot of time at home alone. I've tried incorporating doggy daycare but the costs are piling up and I don't think I can sustain the spending. The main reason though, is that I am an international student and recently there has been a lot of uncertainty as to whether I will be able to stay in the US after graduation, so I believe it would be best for me to rehome Chloe while she is still a puppy.

There is a $400 adoption/rehoming fee. Supplies and veterinary records will be included.

Chloe’s Personality

1. She is incredibly loyal and walks well on and off leash, keeping close by at all times
2. She will always come when called even if there are other distractions
3. She knows how to jump in and out of the car and will calmly sit during the duration of the ride.
4. She's great at playing fetch even at long distances, and most of the time she will drop the ball at right your feet
5. For a puppy, she can quietly sleep through the night in her crate up to 9 hours without having to potty
6. When it is bedtime she willingly walks into her crate to sleep

Chloe’s Current Home Environment

I live in an apartment with a small patio where I have set up fake grass pads for her to potty. She is allowed on furniture, but not the bed and she knows this.

Chloe’s Current Family:

I live alone in a one bedroom apartment by the hike and bike trail near Zilker. I'm currently a junior studying at UT.

Chloe’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

She loves to play fetch with Chuckits or any ball really. At home she likes to play with her kong (even if there isn't any food in it), she also has this whale soft toy that she really likes. She currently eats Orijen dry puppy food and I give her Earth Animal Salmon Chews as well as various other treats. She is definitely an athletic dog and I regularly take her to explore various parts of the Greenbelt

Cute Chloe Story:

Chloe is very emotionally connected to people, for instance, if I cry or she thinks I'm sad she will drop what she's doing and come to my side. She loves her treats and chew sticks and I think she assumes I do too because as soon as I leave the house she won't touch it, instead I always find them uneaten and waiting for me by the front door when I get back.

Why is Chloe Being Rehomed?

Chloe’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I would like her to go to a family that would be able to adequately exercise her because she is a very energetic and athletic dog by nature, she is not destructive or wild around the house by any means but I know she loves the outdoors and likes to run around. Someone who likes going out and could take her on long walks or runs would be great. Alternatively, a family with a decently sized backyard where she could expel some energy would be ideal. A home with other existing dogs is not an issue, she is friendly and would probably like someone to play with.

Additional Comments:

I fully intend to respect the new family’s privacy but I would like them to know they can reach out to me with any potential behavioral/health concerns or anything at all really. I think a few updates or pictures during the first few weeks to might make it a little easier to let her go.
