All About Theo

Theo’s Personality

Theo is very loving and wants to be near you all of the time. He does not lick faces, beg for food, or whine. He is very quiet and does not generally bark unless someone knocks on the door or is put in a crate. His best friend is a 110 lbs Lab named Bella. He loves to cuddle Bella and sit on her back. Theo has a funny, awkward personality and is different than other dog I have ever known. He was raised around 8 grandchildren now ranging in age from 9 month to 9 yrs old so he is very accustomed to being around children and being handled by them. Theo was also raised around cats and is no stranger to kitty cuddles. Theo is not yappy and does not nip at children, strangers, or other pets.

Theo does not lick my face or hands very often and if he does it is very hesitantly, as if asking for permission. He does not beg for food. I have never heard him whine, not even when he was a puppy. Theo has never nipped at people or other animals. He likes to be near me but not necessarily right on top of me. He is very tender, gentle, and so awkward that it is very.

Theo’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Theo does not really play with toys but will occasionally play tug-of-war with a sock. He is not a picky eater and eats dry dog food. He is a fan of any dogs treats and people food but does not beg. He tolerate food well. He love to run around outside and cuddle inside.

Cute Theo Story:

Theo and Bella (Yellow Lab) have been best friend from the day Theo came to our home. He has always climbed up and sat on Bella. They spend their days cuddling together, more often than not with Theo perched on Bella’s back. It does not matter where they are at, outside, inside, or the situation, Theo is always sitting on Bella’s back.

Why is Theo Being Rehomed?

Sadly our yellow lab Bella’s health is failing and I do not want Theo home all day alone after Bella passes away. My youngest son is in the process of moving out. I am a nursing supervisor working 50-60 hours a week and I can not in good conscious leave him home alone or in a crate for that long.

Theo’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I would like Theo to go to a kind and loving home with a family that can spend time with him. Other pets are fine as long as they are gentle towards other animals. He does well with children but some caution needs to be taken that they are not rough with him as he is a tiny dog. He does prefers adults but tolerates being hugged and held by children.

Additional Comments:

I am devastate to re-home Theo but I can not in good conscious leave him home alone all day now that my son is grown and is moving out. Theo is very social and wants to be with people and other pets.
