Arlo is a Male Puggle dog for adoption to a very loving home in or near Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. This very special dog is just 18 months old and weighs 25 pounds.

Arlo has been neutered, fully vaccinated, house broken and crate trained.  He is good with older children and dogs, but is not a good match for cats. He will be rehomed with all supplies and vet records.

Arlo’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished dog, but have come to realize that Arlo needs more experienced owners who can spend more time with him and continue to work on his behaviour issues. He’s a very sweet and happy dog, but needs lots of engagement and exercise. A very strong routine will go a long way towards helping Arlo to become the best family dog ever.

Arlo’s owners are hoping to find the right home for their cherished dog. He is looking for an active family with teenagers, who have a large, securely fenced yard and can spend plenty of time with Arlo. He loves to go to the dog park and for walks. Arlo needs owners who can provide a strong routine and be the “big dogs”, and help Arlo to understand that he is not in charge. He is a bit of a “diamond in the ruff”, but with some more training, consistency, routine and patience will mature into an amazing dog.

Arlo’s Personality

Very energetic and loves to cuddle especially in the morning and evening. Love going to the dog park and playing with bigger dogs especially. Incredibly smart. Can learn things really quick. He needs to be with someone that has lots of time and energy and patience. Like many Beagles, Arlo can be stubborn. He has some resource guarding issues that will require further work, although he has had obedience training and some behavioural training.

He has a assortment of toys. He loves stuffed but destroys them in a super short time. He loves balls and chewy toys also.

He likes car rides but gets reactive. He really loves dog park time and walks.

Why is Arlo Being Rehomed?

We have tried everything to help him become the best dog. He has FDF walkers that take him to the park Mon to Friday. Did obedience training, animal behaviourist, agility training at home, reactivity training, lots of books.

We don’t have the energy or know what more to do. We love him so much but just can’t do it anymore.
