Roscoe is obedience trained and eager to learn more. Roscoe gets along well with dogs but does not do well with cats. He is good with children aged 12 and up and is housebroken, crate trained, and comes with several accessories including a leash, collar, gentle leader, and more.
Roscoe’s personality is very playful and he loves meeting new people. He is very trainable, food-motivated, and loves toys. He can be a bit rowdy at times but settles down with exercise and enrichment activities. He enjoys walks, playing “find it”, and his favorite foods include peanut butter, cheese, sardines, and pumpkin.
Roscoe was found on the streets and has only been with his current owner for a couple months. Although he was initially a wild man, he has improved greatly and is on his way to becoming the best pup he can be. Unfortunately, his current owner has a senior dog with a disability who is not a fan of Roscoe’s energy and playfulness.
Roscoe’s ideal adoptive home would be one that can provide boundaries, routine, and consistency. He would do well with an active person or family who will continue his training and provide ample opportunities for exercise and play.

Roscoe’s Personality
Roscoe is such a happy pup and and loves meeting new people. He is very playful and is working hard on learning his manners – he is very trainable and eager to learn. He is food motivated and also loves toys. He’s very smart. Roscoe can be rowdy but will also settle after he’s had some exercise and/or enrichment activity. Roscoe generally just excited about life and is so full of love. He will make someone a very loyal companion. He is wiggly, xestful, sweet, and has the best smile and biggest heart.
Roscoe is still a puppy a heart. He has one issue that we are working on, which is that he becomes mouthy with his owner in the evenings when seeking attention. Currently diverting his attention by offering an activity he loves, such as a run, makes a huge difference.
Roscoe’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Hi favorite toy right now is his fire hose bug toy and he romps around the backyard shaking it. He loves any soft squeaky toy. He loves kongs, lickimats, nylabones, antlers, bully sticks. He loves playing “find it” where I hide treats and he seeks them out. He is eager to learn new tricks and enjoys training sessions. He loves sniff walks. His favorite foods are peanut butter, cheese, sardines, and pumpkin.
Cute Roscoe Story:
I’ve only known Roscoe for 4 weeks. I found him on the street and quickly located his owner and learned that she was not able to take care of him and it was not a good situation. I offered to take him in. Once home, he was a total wild man and I don’t think the previous owners had done any training with him. He is doing so much better now and is learning new things every day. It has been fulfilling to watch him improve and to help him on his way to becoming the best pup he can be.
Why is Roscoe Being Rehomed?
I took him in with the intention of finding him a new home. I have a senior dog with a disability and she is not thrilled by the young lad’s presence and exuberance.
