Amazing Chihuahua For Adoption in Georgetown TX – Meet Blondie

Have you been looking for Chihuahua for adoption in Georgetown Texas? Blondie is a sweet little dog you definitely should consider.

This 12 month old 8 pound female smooth coat Chihuahua has more personality than dogs 20 times her size. Blondie is fixed, up to date on shots, house broken and crate trained.

She is really cute and loves to play with her squeaky toys. She is incredibly devoted to her special person and will spend untold hours in your lap being cuddled.

Meet Blondie, Chihuahua Dog For Adoption in Georgetown Texas

Her owner describes Blondie’s Personality as follows:

I can feel the love just oozing out of her to my heart.
She is like my little shadow, always right by me.
She sleeps well in her kennel at night.
She is quick to do her “business” when we let her out.
She is a good house alarm. She will bark to let us know someone is at our door even before they knock or ring the doorbell.

Blondie is being rehomed for a few valid reasons. She has bitten the little 6 year old boy in the family when they were playing together. She needs a home without small children. Blondie likes to chew on objects and needs a home where things that could pose a risk to her are kept off the floors and tabletops. She also is aggressive towards the cats in her home.

These things are pretty common with Chihuahuas, and the best way to fix the problem is placing her into a home where these issues will not be present. Ideally a home with a fastidious senior dog lover who lives in a quiet home with a strong routine. This little dog has immeasurable love and companionship to offer the right new owner. She has so many years of love, devotion and companionship to offer.

If you are a senior, or work from home dog lover with the right home for Blondie, please offer her a loving home today.

Blondie’s Personality

I can feel the love just oozing out of her to my heart.
She is like my little shadow, always right by me.
She sleeps well in her kennel at night.
She is quick to do her “business” when we let her out.
She is a good house alarm. She will bark to let us know someone is at our door even before they knock or ring the doorbell.

Blondie’s Current Home Environment

80 year old grandmother, 67 year old male, 60 year old female, 36 year old female, 6 year old boy, 2 cats that are 8 months old. There is always a lot of activity. Blondie is used to the large rollater walker that my mom has.

She will use a doggie door to go outside. If it is raining or muddy, she will not get off the porch. We searched and found a fake grass potty pad with a tray beneath to keep on the covered porch. She will poop on the grass, which can be picked up, and when she pees, the grass can be picked up and the pad underneath can be replaced.

Blondie’s Current Family:

My husband and I have had my mom living with us for 21 years. We also took in my goddaughter and her son a couple of years ago. We adopted Blondie at the end of April, 2020. Then we adopted two kittens the beginning of July. We are mostly in the house due to covid-19, so there is a lot of activity. I work from home, and I keep Blondie in the room with me all day with the door shut to minimize her stimulation.

Blondie’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Blondie loves her squeaky toys. They are all plastic.
She loves canned food, but can only have it after eating her kibble. She prefers to eat her kibble on a bed or couch instead of on the floor. Sometimes she will play with her kibble like a toy, making it bounce, and pouncing on it like her prey.
She likes to walk on leash, chew on the cats, sit in my sling/pouch that I wear over my shoulder, or sit with us on the couch watching TV.

Cute Blondie Story:

When Blondie is excited or playing, she will run and jump like a deer onto a chair or couch. After a bath and she has shaken off the water and dried with a towel, she runs to our bed and just goes crazy laying on her side as she crawls all over our bed, rubbing her face, head, and her sides over and over and over. She is so funny when she does this.

Why is Blondie Being Rehomed?

She has bit the 6 year old boy. They were playing together really well, then she suddenly snapped at him and bit his hand. It was really quick, then she was fine and ready to play some more. She has never done this with adults.

She chews everything. She has to be watched 24/7 or put in the kennel.
She will not leave the cats alone. If they are within her sight, she will chase them.

Blondie’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

A home with no kids younger than 10, or other animals. She needs to be the center of someone’s attention. A home with no items such as pencils, thumb tacks, tissues, etc. left laying around, or within her reach. She has been seen getting on a chair to take things off of the table.

Additional Comments:

As long as you are in the same room with her and there are no other kids or animals, she will curl up some place comfy and sleep until you want to be with her.
