Meet Norma Jean – Belgian Shepherd Mix Dog For Adoption in Manhattan

Have you been looking for a Belgian Shepherd mix Dog for adoption in New York, NY and area?

Pet Rehoming Network is pleased to present Norma Jean, a very special dog in need of a loving, forever home.

Norma Jean is healthy and has been fixed, is up to date on shots and micro-chipped. This Belgian Shepherd mix Dog has a loving personality and is good with children and other dogs.  Norma Jean has an amazing personality. She loves to cuddle and gives the best hugs.

Norma Jean’s owner loves her very much, but has come to realize that she is not suited to city life. Living in an apartment in Manhattan, he is finding it difficult to give his dog the exercise and playtime she needs and deserves. She is a very social dog, and wants to meet every person and other dog that crosses her path. She is still very much a puppy.

Norma Jean needs a home where she can be herself. Ideally, a family with children and a big fenced yard to play in. She loves other dogs, and would be an amazing sidekick for another high energy dog.

Norma Jean will be rehomed with supplies and vet records. Adopt this deserving Belgian Shepherd mix Dog in New York, NY today.

All About Norma Jean

Norma Jean’s Personality

She is high energy and is ready to play at all hours of the day. She’s curious about every sight, sound, person, and animal she sees.

1) she loves to cuddle at night and in the morning
2) her adorable big ears
3) always ready to greet you upon return
4) she’s great at dog parks
5) loves hugs

She constantly pulls on the leash during walks and lunges at runners and bicyclists. If you don’t let her greet every single dog she sees during a walk then she barks, yelps, and jumps up and down.

Norma Jean’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Toys–loves plush toys, ropes, and squeaky toys

Foods– loves apples (w/out the seeds of course), carrots, and chicken

Activities–loves playing with dogs at the dog park, fetch inside the house, and tug-of-war

Cute Norma Jean Story:

One night we both woke up at the same time. She was sleeping at the foot of the bed. We looked at each other and then she came right up to me and rested her neck over my neck and cuddled up to fall back asleep. It melted my heart it was so adorable.

Why is Norma Jean Being Rehomed?

I cannot provide the proper environment for her. I live in a busy neighborhood in Manhattan, and it has become impossible to take her on walks with proper leash training. I live in an apartment on the 5th floor with 2 roommates who are on opposite schedules, so there are people coming in and out from 7 am to midnight. She barks every time they come in causing me and her to lose hours of sleep. I have developed severe anxiety and am starting to have mini panic attacks every time I need to take her out, which is 3 times a day. If I’m stressed then I know she is stressed.

Norma Jean’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I’m looking for a family that lives in a quiet neighborhood who preferably has a yard. I think she would really flourish if she had a dog companion so having another dog would be a huge plus.

Additional Comments:

Norma Jean is a dog that just wants to love and play all day long.
