Just 2.5 years old, Stevie is healthy and has been fixed. She is up to date on shots and micro-chipped. She is a very clean cat and uses her litter box.

Stevie has a  very special personality. She is a one-woman cat, and seems to have a lot of anxiety around anyone that is not her owner. After trying unsuccessfully to get her to accept her partner, Stevie’s owner is having to make the very difficult decision to find a new home for her.  She needs a home where there is just one human and one Stevie. She needs a home with a cat whisperer who will be very patient while Stevie gets used to her new home and person.

Patience and understanding will be rewarded with a sweet, sensitive and extremely affectionate companion. Stevie is very cuddly and playful. She likes her alone time (don’t we all?) but also is a gentle, affectionate and tender little soul who loves her human with all her heart.  She loves to play with her toys, greet you with purrs and snuggles when you wake in the morning, and enthusiastically follow you around as you do your daily routine. She just needs time and patience for you to earn her trust.

All About Stevie

Stevie’s Personality

Stevie is incredibly loving and kind to me. She is playful, energetic, and loves to be a part of what’s going on. She is standoffish with others and does not take kindly to people other than me trying to pet her. She requires patience and love but is a very sweet girl when she loves you.

I love how affectionate and cuddly she is. She loves to curl up with me on the couch.
I love her energy level, she has a few favorite toys that really get her excited.
I love that I got to see her grow from kitten to cat and she was an amazing companion all the time at through.
I love how much she purrs to me. It is very calming.
I love that every morning when I wake up she is right there to greet me and get some morning pets.

Stevie’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Stevie has a ribbon on a wand that she absolutely loves. She drags it around the house with her when she wants to lay down and get comfortable. She also loves her pig and bear knit catnip stuffed toys. She is a big fan of the food she has been on since she was a kitten, Arcana brand Prairie mix.

Cute Stevie Story:

Stevie likes to find comfy and sometimes very hidden places to nap. I once couldn’t find her for almost 20 minutes and was beginning to get very worried, when I saw her stick one paw out of a laundry basket in the closet. She had been napping in there and must have heard me frantically calling for her! But she was too comfy to get up.

Why is Stevie Being Rehomed?

My partner and I are moving in together and he unfortunately cannot live here comfortably with her. We have been in a relationship for a year and a half with him being in my home frequently since the beginning and she still is not willing to accept his presence. We have tried everything the research told us to to get them on a more agreeable level, and nothing has worked. It is unfair of me to keep putting him through the daily frustration of having to avoid her.

Stevie’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I am looking for a forever home for Stevie. This home ideally will be very patient and have experience with cats, as Stevie will most likely take a long time to warm up to her new caretakers. I want her new owner to understand that despite her standoffish attitude, she is incredibly loving and an outstanding companion and has been my best friend for two and a half years. She will need patience, love, and plenty of understanding from her new person. I would love for someone who has worked with difficult cats before to have the chance to work with her, and bring out her cuddly, loyal and unconditional loving side.
