Smokey Charcoal Black German Shepherds Adoption San Antonio TX

Meet Smoky and Charcoal – Bonded German Shepherds For Adoption in San Antonio TX

Looking for Black German Shepherds for adoption near you? Smoky and Charcoal are brothers and best friends. This special pair of young purebred Black German Shepherd dogs are looking for a new home in or near San Antonio TX.

Smoky and Charcoal are large male German Shepherds. They weigh 70 pounds and are just 2 years old. Both boys are healthy dogs that are up to date on shots.  Both dogs will be neutered before they are placed with their forever family.

These dogs are absolutely gorgeous. It is so difficult to tell them apart that their owner uses different colored collars. They are like matching bookends of pure joy.  They are handsome dogs – nice examples of the German Shepherd breed.

Charcoal and Smoky’s owner is sad to have to rehome these precious pups. She is a long haul truck driver and had initially adopted them to keep her company on the job. Unfortunately the company she works for has changed their policy about pets being allowed.

Now she has two amazing German Shepherds, but is unable to take them with her. She is looking for a good home for both dogs together. The new home should have a very large, securely fenced back yard, and owners who can give Smoky and Charcoal the time, attention, exercise and affection they both need and deserve.

These young dogs are going to need owners who have experience with the breed. The dogs have not been given much training, and can be unruly at times in their excitement in greeting you. They have never been taught the proper way to behave around people, so they will jump and frolick without concern that they might bowl you over. This is rough-housing – not aggression – and it should not take much work to get them to behave more sensibly. They are highly intelligent dogs, and are very interested in pleasing you.

If you have room in your heart and home for these two very special Black German Shepherd dogs, please contact their Rehoming Coordinator,  Debbie Moore at Pet Rehoming Network. Text or call  (888) 720-3322.   Adopt Charcoal and Smoky today.

In February, When it snowed they went outside to play in the snow, when it was time to bring them in, they didn’t want to come in.

For What Reason(s) are you needing to rehome your pet?

I am a over the road truck driver, and I am gone between 4 to 8 weeks at a time.  I have had Charcoal and Smoky since they were eight weeks old and I was planning on taking them on the road with me. But when I received them, the company I work for changed the pet policy and wouldn’t allow me to bring them.

My son has been taking care of them for me, but he is moving out on his own, and will not be able to help out any longer.

Please describe what you are looking for in an adoptive family/home for your pet:

I’m really praying to find them a loving home. And am hoping that I find someone that is willing to take both of them together as a pair. Someone that is very patient and has the time and willingness to train them. They are both so special and  beautiful. They deserve to be with someone who will cherish them and give them everything they need.

What supplies and accessories will come with your dogs?

Outside igloo, their crate, all their toys, their leashes and collars, any food and treats on hand.

Do you hope or intend to stay in touch with your pets in their new home?

Yes
