He brings joy and laughter as a friendly and intelligent companion, but really needs to be the center of attention in your home. Logan is a loving, friendly and loyal dog who enjoys spending time with his people. His greatest wish is always to please and receive praise. His one problem is dealing with the noise and unpredictable nature of young children and grabby toddlers. He’ll snuggle on the couch if he trusts you, but wants to run the other way or panic if a child wants to follow him, or grab, or ride, or simply make a lot of noise. It is just not how he rolls.
With a young child added to his family, Logan needs a calmer new home soon. He just can’t adjust.
Logan is a highly intelligent dog who has been through obedience training and is good at following commands. He loves go for leisurely walks and spend time with his favorite people.
Logan takes his role as family companion, cheerleader, ambassador and protector very seriously. He even stays downstairs to guard his family against intruders at night, which he considers to be his job. He signs out at 6 am and retreats upstairs to his dog bed, first letting his owner know he is off duty. Such a smart dog.

Recently, as their baby has become mobile, she has begun taking an interest in Logan, and grabbing, hugging and tail pulling have made Logan very anxious and afraid of her. He sleeps on the first floor to protect the house every night. But, every morning around 6:00 AM, he’ll slowly trot upstairs and come over to my side of the bed to let me know that he’s upstairs now. Then he’ll go over and sleep on his bed until I get up.

Unfortunately, he bit my 14 month-old daughter. My daughter is too young to understand that she can’t poke, tug and grab him. So, he lashed out.

It has to be a home with no pets and no young children. I want him to go somewhere where he’ll be loved and with someone who spends plenty of time at home.
The most important thing is that he goes to a great home. IF it’s somewhere that I would be allowed to occasionally visit, that would be ideal. But, I really just want him to be happy and loved.
