Calgary Dog Finds a Home

Dogs For Adoption in Calgary

Rehome or Adopt a Dog in Calgary Alberta Canada

Looking for dogs for adoption in Calgary Alberta? Calgary Pet Adoptions Network showcases pre-loved dogs and puppies for rehoming throughout Calgary and the surrounding areas.

When you adopt a dog in Calgary through our private dog adoption agency, you receive so many benefits:

  1. You get to meet and ask questions of the dog’s owners. This means that there will be no post-adoption surprises. We take careful measures that each dog’s traits and behaviour is well-suited to success in it’s new home.
  2. Your new dog or puppy will have been fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered, tattooed or micro-chipped, house trained and often obedience, leash and crate trained. Just adopt and enjoy your new dog or puppy!
  3. In the majority of Calgary dog adoptions, each pet will be rehomed with all supplies, including all accessories an owner has on hand for the dog, a supply of the dog’s food and treats, and an outline of the normal routine by which the dog is fed and exercised, sleeping arrangements and any other matters. This helps ensure a stress-free transition from one loving home to the next.
  4. Adoption fees are very reasonable. Because each dog is being adopted from home to home, our costs are much less than you will find with a shelter or rescue.
  5. You can join our waiting list to adopt a specific breed, size and type of dog, when available.

ADOPTED – Adorable Mini Labradoodle For Adoption in Beaumont AB – Supplies Included – Adopt Gus

ADOPTED – Adorable Mini Labradoodle For Adoption in Beaumont AB – Supplies Included – Adopt Gus

Looking for a Mini Labradoodle Dog to adopt in Beaumont, AB? Just 8.5 years old and weighing 40lbs, Gus has been fixed, fully vaccinated, housebroken, and leash trained, and is good with babies and small children, and dog-friendly dogs.

Gus is an awesome family dog. He is very good with children, and has been tolerant of little ones clumsy attempts at giving him love. He’s also good with adults and friends he has yet to meet. Gus is good with other dogs, and loves to play.

This adorable Mini Labradoodle is a fetch-a-holic and would happily fetch all day if only he could find someone willing to throw the ball all day. Ha! 🙂 This handsome boy is as good as gold at the vet. He actually seems to like visiting his vet – particularly when he gets a treat. He is equally charming when visiting the groomer or staying overnight at the kennel.

Gus would be the perfect dog were it not for a couple of things he needs to work on. One is jumping and barking with excitement whenever so much as a flea farts in his presence. He’s got so much enthusiasm! Getting more exercise and one on one attention with a cherished human would go a long way towards curbing this behaviour.

Gus is a bit of a foody (aren’t we all?). It’s important not to leave anything on the floor unless you want Gus to eat it. This includes tissues, socks, and anything small enough to reach his stomach. He needs a more structured environment, and would be a great fit for a retired couple who don’t have to leave him home alone for long periods of time.

Gus’s owners have made the difficult decision to rehome him in the hope that owners in a different situation will be a better fit. His Mom is too busy taking care of 3 small children, and Dad works very long hours. They want Gus to get far more attention and consideration than they are able to give him. They know that with some positive reinforcement, the barking, jumping and other issue will be more than correctible.

If you have room in your heart and home for Gus, please complete our online meeting request form. Once received, our Beaumont Dog Rehoming team will make arrangements for you to meet Gus and his owners. Adopt Gus today!

German Shepherd Rottweiler Mix (Shepweiler) Dog For Adoption in Langdon AB – Supplies Included – Adopt Milly

German Shepherd Rottweiler Mix (Shepweiler) Dog For Adoption in Langdon AB – Supplies Included – Adopt Milly

Looking for a senior German Shepherd Rottweiler (Shepweiler) Dog to adopt in Calgary (Langdon), Alberta? Just 11 years young and weighing 70lbs, Milly has been fixed, fully vaccinated, housebroken, microchipped, leash rained, crate-trained. This calm, sweet senior dog is good with respectful older children, adults, and dog friendly cats.

Milly is a sweet female dog that loves being around her people. She is content to go on walks on the trails, but is also content to hang out at home and laze around on her doggy bed. Milly is in good health. She tore a ligament in a back leg a year or so ago, but this injury has healed, and she is able to get around just fine. She enjoys mild exercise. Milly would be the perfect companion for retired or senior dog lovers looking for a well-behaved, low maintenance companion to shower with unconditional love.

This pretty large breed senior dog is looking for a forever home through no fault of her own – her owners are faced with an  unavoidable move across the globe, and due to Milly’s age and a previous injury, they are worried about how the long period of quarantine in the new country of residence would affect her. They want the best for Milly, and feel that staying in the Calgary area with an amazing new family will be best for her.

Schnauzer Cocker Spaniel Mix Dog For Adoption in Calgary AB – Supplies Included – Adopt Jasper

Schnauzer Cocker Spaniel Mix Dog For Adoption in Calgary AB – Supplies Included – Adopt Jasper

Looking for a Cocker Spaniel x Standard Schnauzer Mix Dog to adopt in Calgary, Alberta? Just 5 years old and weighing 60 pounds, Jasper has been fixed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, crate trained, house-trained and leash trained. Jasper is great with adults and respectful older children.

Jasper is such a loving, happy, healthy and sweet dog. His only issue is that he is deathly afraid of other dogs. This fear surfaces in what is called “severe dog reactivity”. His anxiety causes him to react in an aggressive manner when he encounters other dogs. So Jasper is NOT a dog that you can take to the dog park, and he needs to be kept on a short leash when out for a walk, with care taken when encountering other dogs along the pathway or sidewalk.

Despite this issue, Jasper deserves to find his forever home with a family in Calgary and area who have the right environment as well as plenty of time to devote to him. He has so much love, cuddles, laughter and companionship to offer. Adopt JASPER today.

Questions? Please TEXT JASPERCALGARY to (888) 833-2128 for an instant response.

PLEASE NOTE: NO PHONE CALLS, PLEASE! Submit a meeting request at https://pet-net.net/.adopt-a-pet and you will be contacted to schedule a phone call with Jasper’s owners, should they wish to consider your application. If you are not chosen, you will have the opportunity to have your application sent to the owners of similar dogs as they are placed for rehoming with our service. Thank you!

Rory O’Neill helps match people wanting to give a loving home to a pet, to animals desperate and deserving of a life. She also has contacts with many overcrowded shelters, where darling cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens, don’t always have much time before the “shelter” euthanizes them. People adopting from Rocky Mountain Animal Rescue are literally saving a dog or cat from a life of misery and/or no life at all.
