Simon’s owner is very sad to have to rehome her cherished dog, but circumstances beyond her control have made rehoming a must-do:
Although Simon is an amazing dog, he is very protective and requires physical activity. We are able to provide the activity he needs however, we may not be attuned to his anxiety or know the right way to train him.
We have tried. WE are concerned for new friends that come to the home that he may not feel comfortable with. Most of all, I babysit my 2 young grandchildren and although he has shown gentleness and protectiveness, I must be alert as he has bitten a stranger (friend of my son) and family members during stressful times for Simon.
I am concerned for my grandchildren and I recognize my limitations as a dog whisper. I think in the right home and with the right caregiver he will be the most amazing dog ever.

Simon is energetic, intelligent, loving and a wonderful guard dog. He is bred to be on duty and work and he loves to do that. He catches a ball and frisbee like no other dog. He is protective and gentle with children. He allows other dogs into the house to take his toys and food.
However, he does not like strangers he does not know and he tries to control situations such as how long he plays ball and when he want to be rubbed and petted. He behaved very well at the kennel and is used to it. He gets very anxious at the vets office and he is not fond of Dog training classes.

– I love his look. He is the most handsome dog ever.
– I love his love for me. He is loving and loyal.
– I love the way he plays ball. He is playful and fun.
– I love the way he has been gentle with my grandchildren.

Why is Simon Being Rehomed?
