Meeko is a unique mix of Chihuahua and some type of Terrier, possibly Fox Terrier. Just 11 months of age and weighing 29 pounds, Meeko is healthy, fixed, up to date on shots and house broken. He is a happy, playful puppy, and gets along well with cats and older, respectful children.

Meeko is quite fearful of other dogs. This fear causes him to show aggression when he sees other dogs, and also towards the other dog in his home, a Pug.
Meeko’s family adopted him, not anticipating that he would have any problems with their good-natured Pug. Unfortunately, Meeko does not get along with the Pug, despite giving him lots of time and patience. Since their Pug is older and quite traumatized by the constant aggressive episodes, the family realize that it is necessary to find Meeko a different home; one where there are no other dogs or small children.
In the right situation, Meeko will be an amazing companion. He is very smart and forms a close bond with his humans. He does like to attach himself to one special person, so he is ideally suited for a single or couple who have plenty of time for him each day, and who have a securely fenced back yard.

Meeko’s Personality
Meeko can be a very sweet dog but I think he needs training and possibly to be the only pet he seems to do OK around kids and likes to be active but he also loves to be left alone at times and just chill.
He can be very happy and start licking your face and wag his tail. He loves toys. He likes to chew. I have bought him a ton of chew toys and he loves them. He does good around cats. It takes a minute to warm up to new cats, but I think he’d be fine in a home with a cat or two but not with other dogs.
Why is Meeko Being Rehomed?
I thought he and our dog would get along but they’re not, and I don’t want to put our Pug through any more heartache or pain.
