Good with cats?: Yes
Good with dogs?:Yes

♥ Health Problems: No
♥ Behavior Issues: Yes Fritz is a naturally anxious little guy and has separation anxiety issues from time to time. This results in him barking for a few minutes or latching on to a leg when owners are trying to head out of the door, but then he is able to self-calm within less than 5 minutes. He has never been destructive due to separation anxiety. With more work, I believe this can be addressed, as he has already come a long way. Some days are better than others!

Fritz also gets leash anxious with other dogs. When on a leash, he vocally responds to other dogs approaching or passing (he is getting better with continued work/training). It seems to not be an issue after about 15 minutes of walking, as all of his anxious and extra energy is expelled by then.

Fritz does not have good recall yet when outdoors (indoors he is pretty good). I believe Fritz gets excited and overwhelmed when outside and does not listen when you are asking him to return. He stays nearby but has escaped the yard without returning when called

All About Fritz

Fritz’s Personality

Fritz is the quirkiest, funniest little min-pin! He has the biggest heart and is always ready for a snuggle! He loves nothing more than to be that “velcro dog” that lays on your lap or up next to you under a blanket. He loves giving kisses when invited, still has a lot of puppy energy in him so loves, loves, loves to play and be active! Fritz really enjoys other dogs, behaves great at dog parks and is playful with cats (he grew up around cats, but sometimes can play “puppy rough” with them – our cats are tolerant of this).

Fritz Has  The Following Special Traits:

  • Quirky and funny
  • Smart
  • Kind and loving
  • Good with humans
  • Good with dogs

Fritz’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Fritz loves chicken and will respond to that name if you use it as a reward treat for him. He loves chasing tennis balls and loves anything that squeaks! He is still in his chewing phase, so tougher toys are a must! He enjoys healthy chewies, loves walks and playing with other dogs.

Cute Fritz Story:

Fritz is the cutest when you talk to him. He will look right at you, paying close attention and his head will constantly turn left and right as you do so. He has a smile when happy and loves a good natural chewy…he will hide them around the house and move them every 15 minutes!

Why is Fritz Being Rehomed?

Unfortunately, I have a health issue that is starting to advance and Fritz is becoming an energy mismatch for me to maintain. I want Fritz to be happy and I am no longer able to match the energy level he requires. He also still has a lot of puppy manners to work through, and I find myself getting lazy with this due to not having the energy and patience to work with him on it. He deserves someone, or a family that will take the time to give him the kind of attention and time he deserves!

Fritz’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I would love for Fritz to find an individual or family who is highly active and has the time, desire and dedication to help him train him thru his puppy phases. I believe Fritz would do best with another younger dog in the home that can match his energy level and be willing to play at a moments notice. Another dog could also be helpful in modeling to Fritz appropriate doggy behavior and help him thru his anxiety and separation struggles. I do not want to see Fritz go to a situation where he is living in an apartment. If possible, I would be looking for Fritz to live in an home environment with an enclosed space and yard for him to safely run and play in.
