Meet Anubis, Border Collie Newfie Mix Dog For Adoption in Calgary AB
Anubis is a Male Border Collie Newfoundland Dog mix for adoption to a very loving home in or near Calgary Alberta. This very special dog is 12 months old and weighs 7o pounds. Anubis is a very healthy boy. He is up to date on his vaccinations, and has been fixed. Anubis is incredibly smart and well behaved. He is house broken (he house trained himself!), polite, confident and a great cuddler.

Also among Anubis’ Special Traits and Training:
He is whistle trained ( we will give his whistle with him).
He has basic obedience training.
He does not chew cords, furniture, shoes, or clothing never has just not his personality.
He will dig in the backyard but only if you don’t walk him as he will get bored ( he has only ever done this twice in the year we had him).
He has never bitten anyone not even as a baby he barely nabbed but he does like to chew a lot on bones and plastic bottles he also likes to rip up cardboard.
He likes being brushed.
He doesn’t enjoy his ear cleaning but he will do it.
Yes! He is a pampered pooch!
Anubis is being rehomed due to his owners having to move out of the country for work. They want to find him a really good home where all of his needs and wants are met. He is good with other dogs and cats. He is good with respectful children and visitors. He is not the kind of dog that can be cooped up in a crate all day, so a strong preference will be given towards families that have plenty of time to spend with Anubis both now AND after things go back to normal, once Covid 19 has been conquered.
His new family will included Anubis in plenty of activities, both indoors and outdoors. He is one smart cookie and deserves to be mentally stimulated and physically engaged. Cute Anubis Story:
The first day that we got anubis he has a few accidents inside but that was the last accident he has ever had after he learned where outside was he wouldn’t go anywhere else, we were both shocked he potty trained himself.
Whenever he is exploring anything new he always smells it and then has to boop it with his nose after and just stares at it for a few minutes with this very confused face its very cute.
Why is Anubis Being Rehomed?
We will be moving out of the country in the next year we will sadly not be able to afford to bring him with us. as he is only one he is still in the stage to create a strong bond and is quick to learn during training.
Anubis’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Anubis has puppy energy still so we would idealy like him to go to a family of 3 or more. However we are happy to give him to someone that is a professional trainer or has had more then two dogs. We were training him to go into therapy and search and rescue we know most people Will not be looking to get him to that level but he shows promise in both paths.
Additional Comments:
Anubis is a beautiful dog inside and out and we are very heartbroken to gave to give him up. But after much deliberation we believe this will be the best path for him.
