Here is how our Dog Rehoming Team presented Dakota to attract her new family:

Hi, My name is Dakota!

Fullsizerender-3

Nashville, TN – Dakota is a gorgeous year old German Shepherd. She is very healthy, up to date on shots, spayed, and microchipped. She has  a very nice personality, and gets along well with other dogs and cats. She has not been around children, but German Shepherds are among the best family dogs, so she would likely be great with kids.

Dakota is also crate trained and perfectly house-broken. What a great dog!

Her owner is in the midst of a personal crisis and will be moving. As much as she loves Dakota, her divorce and upcoming move make it very difficult for her to provide Dakota with the environment, time, care, exercise and attention she needs and deserves.

Dakota’s perfect home will be with an active single, couple or family who have lots of time to spend with her. She would love to have a securely fenced back yard to play in. She would prefer owners who are active, home much of the time, and who will commit to being her forever family.

Please offer Dakota the home she needs and deserves today!

Dakota’s Personality

She is sweet, she loves to play, she is really smart.

Dakota’s Current Home Environment

I have a house with a yard. I am a real estate agent, so when she was a puppy and in her crate I could come home a lot to let her out.

Dakota’s Current Family:

My husband and I brought her home in January. It was just us two.

Dakota’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

She loves tennis balls, but she will chew them to pieces when she is done playing fetch. She also loves bones. She LOVES swimming.

Cute Dakota Story:

Dakota loves my little sister, more than she likes me even. Every time she is over and my sister is laying on the couch or something, Dakota will just lay on top of her and lick her face. It is just so sweet.

She also is very smart, and learned how to open the doors at my mother’s house. One day she jumped in the pool and then let herself in the house to shake off, not a heart warming story, but it is funny!

Why is Dakota Being Rehomed?

Divorce, moving.

Dakota’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I would love to find someone who has a fenced yard. I would love to find her a family home, but honestly, just anyone who will love her, play with her, and keep her active.

Additional Comments:

I would love to stay in touch with Dakota, but I don’t know if that is the best thing for her.
