Our cats have mostly been outside cats but they have always had access to the basement, where their food, water fountain, and cat beds are. We let them inside a little more in the winter, but now that our son is transitioning into toddlerhood it is becoming apparent that we are not giving them the life they deserve. My husband and I work full-time and have a 2 year-old, and are thinking about having one more child to give our him a sibling. As our lives have changed, we just don’t have the time and attention to give them like we used to. They are very loving and sweet and are great pets. I would love to find them a home with someone who could give them more love and attention than we are able to at this time in our lives. I honestly think that Lucy would love to be a lap cat and could transition back to being an indoor cat. While I think she does like going outside some, I think she would prefer to be inside.

Lucy’s Personality
Lucy is very sweet but is shy at first. She would make the perfect lap cat as she really just wants to cuddle and is most content laying in someone’s lap and purring. I think she would spend all of her time in mine or my husband’s lap if she could. She takes impeccable care of herself and has a beautiful coat (what first caught my eye). She is pretty vocal when she wants something, but otherwise not overly vocal. She is very smart and watchful. She has been wonderful with our 2 year-old son. He will chase the cats and “pet” them, which being a toddler is not always the most gentle petting, although it’s always supervised. They have both been very patient and tolerant with him.
