Kilo isn’t just a handsome German Sheprador —he’s a gentle soul with a heart full of loyalty, love, and quiet courage. At 4 years old and 60 pounds, Kilo once thrived in a home with a yard, open space, and a sense of routine. But a major life change meant a move from the peaceful Oregon coast to the busy city—and Kilo just hasn’t been able to settle.

Over a year has passed, and this beautiful boy is still struggling with apartment life. He trembles when it’s time to go outside, trying to dart back inside to the only place he feels safe. The sights, sounds, and rhythms of the city have left him anxious and unsure.

It’s clear he needs a more peaceful environment—one that lets him breathe easy, run freely, and rediscover his joy.

Despite his fears, Kilo is an incredibly affectionate and well-mannered companion. He’s house-trained, great with kids, and gets along well with other dogs. His favorite place is the dog park, where his playful side shines through. He loves gnawing on bones, carrying his chew ball (he won’t chase it, just likes to hold it!), and quietly sharing bites of breakfast with someone he loves.

Kilo hasn’t had formal training, but he’s smart, sweet, and eager to connect. What he truly needs is a fenced yard to stretch his legs, a gentle adopter (ideally with another friendly dog), and a calm home where he can feel safe, relaxed, and free to be himself.

Kilo’s Personality

Kilo is as sweet as he is beautiful. Great temperament he’s very very sweet. I moved here to Portland from the coast because my husband died and my boys live here so i moved not thinking about the impact it would have on kilo. He’s now scared and nervous shaking when it’s time to go outside trying so hard to run back to the apartment. I feel terrible and I have been here a year and he’s just not adjusting at all

Kilo’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

He loves the dog park. Playing with all the dogs . Loves chewing on his ball wont chase it!! And his bone. He loves when I share my breakfast with him.

Why is Kilo Being Rehomed?

He needs to be in a yard where he can run and play he had that before I moved him here. The apartment and city life is not good for him at all
